    •Performing site visits at offices where GCCS-AF workstations are to be installed to ensure the area is secure enough for GCCS operations.

    •Tracking all Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts that affect GCCS-AF and downloads the patches and mitigations used while patches are tested on this program managed system before install.

    •Reviewing and updates the Information Assurance Guidance document provided to the GCCS-AF users at each site. 

    •Creating and maintaining the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for GCCS-AF program office at Ramstein Air Base.

    Information Assurance Manager

    Member of the Certification and Accreditation team which performed the verifications on Army systems and recommended them for certification by the Agent of the Certifying Authority (ACA).  Duties included:

    •Certification and accreditation of network enclaves, certain individual servers, local area networks (wired and wireless), applications, and video teleconferencing systems. 

    •Preparing Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) packages for the signature and approval of the Certifying Authority (CA) and Designated Approval Authority (DAA). 

    •Verification of Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) in accordance with NSTISSI No. 7003, for certification and approval by the ACA and DAA. 

    •Provide support to the Computer Verification Station for exercises.  This Computer Verification Station is used to ensure all computers and servers that are to be on the exercise local area network are Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliant and that there is no unauthorized software or equipment (such as wireless network cards) installed.

     

    NORTHROP GRUMMAN, Germany                                 2006 - 2006

    Telephone Control Officer

    Responsible for issuing and tracking cellular phones, Blackberry e-mail devices and satellite telephones.  Responsible for testing the operation of the telephones before issued.  Tracked databases containing the inventory and the bills for the telephones and Data Switch Network (DSN) lines. 

    NORTHROP GRUMMAN, Germany                               2005 - 2006

    Information Assurance Officer

    As a member of the simulations team at DOS-FWD at Camp Aachen, Grafenwoehr, Germany, responsible for the completion of the Interim Approval to Operate (IATO) for each exercise.  Also responsible for overseeing information security during exercises. .  After exercises ensured all hard drives were wiped, certified as clear and properly stored.  Responsible for general maintenance on desktop systems of local Nothrop Grumman employees.  Also assisted in the preparation and conducting of exercises.  This included:

     

    •Preparation of systems for exercises by setting up servers and clients with Red Hat Linux and the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) software.  Servers were hand-installed and laptops were imaged with Ghost. 

    •Installed Windows Server software for Windows based exercise systems.

    •Assisted with the monitoring of the server output for any server or client problems, analyzed and corrected problems as needed. 

    •Provided technical assistance with laptops used in the exercises.

     

    ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS, Germany                      2004 - 2004

    System Administrator

    Responsible for answering calls at the telephone helpdesk and assisting customers using System Management System (SMS) remote access.  Also used Directory Resource Administrator (DRA) to modify accounts, i.e., changing passwords, unlocking accounts and adding users to groups.  Used Remedy software to track and work tickets from start to finish.

    Information Assurance Manager

    Responsible for advising and training 150 Information Assurance Officers on their responsibilities of keeping a vigilant eye on computer security issues in their sections. 

    •Completed certification and accreditation on three SIPRNet DITSCAPs. 

    •Technician for SIPRNet computers and Defense Message System (DMS) computers.  Used Harris Stat to manage Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA).

    •Worked closely with network and system administrators and the help desk to insure all devices, servers and workstations were in compliance according to IAVAs.

    •Investigated possible virus/worm attacks and took appropriate action.  Took immediate action, in accordance with commander policy for users violating e-mail privileges such as forwarding chain letters and hoax messages. 

    •Carefully handled pornography downloads discovered on network computers following rules of custody to prevent contaminating evidence. 

    •Monitored for and controlled the use of unauthorized hardware on the LAN.  Maintained the DITSCAP for the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center NIPRNet.
