INTERNSHIP:
09/2007-09/2010 - Collaboration Scholarships - Università La Sapienza, Rome - Technical collaboration in Electronic Department of the University, preparing and assisting professors in their didactic work. For example arranging simulations in PSPICE, or managing the Electronic and TLC lab during the tutorials or the exams, or simply assisting students preparing their exams. I also worked in assembling a system that tests electronic devices for high temperatures, in particular building the power supply.
10/2010-06/2011- Stagiaire - ESA ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands - Preparation of the final M.E. degree thesis in TEC-ETP department studying and analyzing advanced payloads based on imaging RF-Front-End systems for telecommunications and Earth observation applications. In particular a hybrid array/double reflector offset Gregorian configuration. After a more direct approach with the tool GRASP, the research was done basically with MATLAB (but I also used FORTRAN to translate some existing code). Different electromagnetic approaches were built, according with Geometrical Optics and Physical Optics theories, to analyze the electromagnetic characteristics. The potential application for synthetic aperture interferometric radiometery was successful demonstrated. I was supervised in the work by Piero Angeletti (TEC-ETP) (piero.angeletti(at)esa.int) with the support of Salvatore D'Addio (TEC-ETP) (salvatore.daddio(at)esa.int) and Giovanni Toso (EEA) (giovanni.toso(at)esa.int).
