Mars Entry and Descent Mission. Schiaparelli - also known as the Entry, Descent and Landing Demonstrator Module (EDM) - is a technology demonstration vehicle carried by the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter, which will be launched in 2016 to demonstrate the capability of European Industry to perform a controlled landing on the surface of Mars.
Design, Development, and Qualification of Li-Ion Batteries/Relay Boxes required for the ExoMars EDM program in their various models (EQM, FM, PFM). They are the CTPU NL cell battery, the RTPU NL cell battery, the RTPU HR battery and the relay unit. Full Programme cycle project management, Conceptual, Proposal, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB, DRB. Qualification stage included cell level qualification as a new type of cells were used.
- DREAMS Scientific Payload Mars Surface batteries 800k€ CISAS/ESA.
DREAMS (Dust Characterisation, Risk Assessment, and Environment Analyser on the Martian Surface) package, consists of a suite of sensors to measure the wind speed and direction (MetWind), humidity (DREAMS-H), pressure (DREAMS-P), surface temperature (MarsTem), the transparency of the atmosphere (Solar Irradiance Sensor, SIS), and atmospheric electrification (Atmospheric Radiation and Electricity Sensor; MicroARES).

- EDRS-C (ARTES 7) Data Relay System Batteries development OHB/EADS/ESA 1m€ High-Speed GEO to LEO data relay. ARTES 7 EDRS is dedicated to the development and implementation of the European Data Relay System (EDRS). Data relay satellites are placed in geostationary orbit to relay information to and from non-geostationary satellites, spacecraft, other vehicles, and fixed Earth stations that otherwise are not able to permanently transmit/receive data. Design, Development, and Qualification of Li-Ion Batteries and Junction Box required for the EDRS-C programme as a recurrent design (SGEO heritage). Full Programme cycle project management, Conceptual, Proposal, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB, DRB. Qualification stage included cell level qualification and LAT as a new type of cells/batch were used.
