Summary
I am a motivated Software Engineer with more than 2 years of commercial working experience in Business Analysis and Systems Quality and Safety Assurance. Since the end of my first year of college I have been working with a group of colleagues developing systems for clients we acquired over the years. Mostly I perform requirement gathering and analysis, develop system specializations and data modelling. Also, I am responsible for the client management activities and projects plan and schedule definition/management. Our main work (jKiwi) won the Portuguese Open Source Contest and has more than half a million users worldwide.

I was an invited researcher for a Portuguese Human Computer Interaction research group for four years. I worked in several projects focusing my attention mainly in user centred studies, requirement gathering and analysis. During the four years I also perfected my presentation and coordination skills, participating in several International meetings and helping to organize International conferences.

I successfully completed my MSc degree specializing in the Information Systems area. My thesis, in Hazard Management Systems, was elaborated in cooperation with the Portuguese Air Traffic Control service provider and International entities such as EUROCONTROL. During the MSc I also attended courses ranging from project management, software quality, cooperative work, to database technologies and advanced interaction techniques. I matured my knowledge in software development methodologies and management through standards and good practices.

This three year BSc mixed fields of computer science and computer engineering, as well as courses from natural sciences.
