Resume
Currently I am studying in 4th of an MSci in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Glasgow. I have lived in Malaysia for 3 years whilst there I attended the Alice Smith International School, which is one of the most respected schools in South East Asia, and travelled extensively throughout South East Asia and Australasia. This has enriched my personality, communication skills, appreciation of environment, cultural and developing issues in South East Asia. These continue to influence me now and in the future. This together with my time in RSAMD (Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) has helped me to become a highly confident, well-spoken individual and have refined not only my public speaking skills but also my one to one conversational skills.
Being an enthusiastic physicist and mathematician has naturally advanced my problem solving and logistical skills, an example of my mathematical skill would be my accreditation in the UK Math Challenge in which I was awarded a Gold award, in 4th and 6th year of secondary school. My practical skills are constantly being put to the test during continual Lab work and both individual and group projects throughout my degree which has also increased my communication, leadership, communication and timekeeping skills

I studied at Alice Smith, one of the top international schools in South East Asia, for just over 2 years. I did not acquire any formal grades there.
Work Experience
Jun 2011 – Sep 2011 Subsurface Engineer Intern, Talisman Energy Malaysia (TML)
I spent 9 weeks working alongside subsurface and reservoir engineers in Kuala Lumpur. Using real-time temperature and pressure data coupled with historical well tests and modelling programs, I worked on optimizing gas lift to incur greater production. I also strove to optimize the procedures and programs used by designing macros to tie in excel spreadsheets and the analytical programs in order to draw trends easily and highlight the deviations in specific data, which related to early indication of a loss of production. This required a rapid introduction to the Oil and Gas industry processes and flow dynamics. It drew on many of the logical, programming and modelling skills I have gained in my degree. My communication skills were put to the test also, as it was a very multi-cultural environment, working with local Malays and several expatriates from around the world, all of which were highly educated and experts in their specific field.
During this period I also received all necessary safety training for offshore working.
Sep 2009 – Present Senior Waiter, Grosvenor Café
Commencing as a trainee, I quickly showed my fast learning and leadership skills, which resulted in a senior position within this relatively large organisation. My duties include managing the restaurant floor efficiently to give each customer an enjoyable experience whilst supervising newer members of staff, offering them assistance and resolving mistakes and complaints. This constantly tests my team building, leadership and communication skills.
Jan 2008 - Scottish Space School Student, Johnson Space Centre, NASA
In January 2007, after completing a 1 year vocation study program. Coming out in the top percentage of the participants, I was selected to participate in the Careers Scotland Space School, a highly commended programme that involves a 10 day VIP placement at Johnson Space centre, Houston, Texas. To qualify, students completed 6 challenging modules encompassing all aspects of the space industry. From the thousands of applications only the top 26 students were selected for the programme. During the project I was selected for the ‘Laurel Clark Memorial Award for the Most Outstanding Student’, which was voted for by the NASA and Career Scotland employees and students.
Oct 2006 - Lab assistant, Devro Ltd.
During my week’s experience in Devro Ltd., a sausage skin factory, I assisted scientists in their continual research and development of the skins by scrutinizing the constituents using several complicated chemical processes. This required a good set of laboratory skills and enhanced my existing ones.
