    M.Sc Research Project

Title                      : Hyperspectral Subspace Identification and Endmember Extraction by Integration of Spatial-Spectral Information.

Objective            : To identify an optimal hyperspectral signal subspace in spaceborne hyperspectral datasets with HySime and to pursue endmember extraction by integration of contextual spatial information with the spectrally decomposed subspace.

Description        : The research work aimed at finding the number of distinct signal sources present          in the hyperion image, analyzing different dimensionality reduction techniques and then the integration of spatial information to identify the number of pure endmembers in the image. The method was able to delineate major LULC classes such as vegetation, agricultural land, forest, etc. It can be used for vegetation mapping e.g. for species identification, agriculture related studies etc.
