    Career Highlights

    • Developed the basic measurement technique employed on the Force Moment Sensor, a device used to measure loads applied to the tip of the Space Station’s robotic arm.  Lead the development team that designed, built and tested this device.  Total revenue recognized on this project was over $15M
    • Assumed technical responsibility for WINDII when the project was weeks away from termination for non-performance and went on to lead the team as technical/program manager to a highly successful completion. WINDII was a Michelson Interferometer based instrument used to measure wind speeds and temperature from a satellite in Low Earth Orbit.  This work formed the core of a project in which the Canadian Government has invested over $50M.
    • Co-owned and managed 2 successful R&D oriented companies, initiated negotiation agreements which lead to the profitable sale of both companies
    • Hold a patent for a high performance pressure sensor designed for use on space-craft fuel monitoring systems
    • Prepared and submitted several major proposals to both government and private industries and in the process developed an excellent proposal win percentage. All jobs won as a result of these proposals were delivered on budget to satisfied customers.
    • Extensive experience in the following areas:
    • Finite Element Analysis (Structural and Thermal)
    • New Product Introduction
    • Project coordination and control using PS8 or Microsoft Project
