    ·         Conducting research at Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL) in the Aerospace Engineering department

    • Currently enrolled in Advanced Design Methods I&III, Fixed Wing I and II and Structural Analysis courses
    • Developed a parametric Sizing and Synthesis Tool to be able to estimate the Takeoff Weight, Thrust and Wing area of a fighter jet, which was benchmarked against a known fighter aircraft. The tool would potentially aid in the conceptual design of a fighter aircraft
    • Conducting fundamental research in fleet analysis, using the simulation software VENSIM, for the NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD)
    • Contributed effort to reverse engineer the SAAB Grippen JAS-39 airplane as a project in ASDL. Specifically worked on conducting a literature survey in the sensors area of the JAS-39 Fighter. Additionally, developed an interactive reconfigurable morphological matrix (IRMA) for the JAS-39 Grippen, that was presented to the SAAB engineers in December 2011.
    • Completed a semester long five member team project in the Advanced Design Methods I course that involved the application of the Technology Identification Evaluation and Selection (TIES) methodology in designing a new commercial four hundred passenger aircraft
    • Currently working on a two semester long ‘ASDL Grand Challenge’ that involves the integration of UAV Systems into the existing NAVY carrier fleet. The results will be presented to the ASDL External Advisory Board (EAB) in the first week of May 2012. The project is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR)
    • Involved in the recruiting of new students for the Aerospace Systems Design Lab
    • Mentor for two new students in ASDL for Spring 2012
