    • This was accomplished with the help of various systems in which to navigate from.

    • To diagnose and repair IBM Desktops and Laptops to be sent back out to the customers.
    • Steps would include: Verifying machines meet minimum requirements.
    • Diagnose and repair any necessary problems.
    • This involved knowledge in error codes and a thorough knowledge of the computer and understanding of how each component worked.
    • Also changed out faulty parts with known good parts.
    • Ran many tests which was used to report on many different components and system to verify machine was worthy of being sent back out to the customer.
    • Also trained incoming personnel for one week to get them certified to work on IBM machines.

    • Commanded a Mission Control Team of three to control Defense Support Program (DSP) satellites valued in excess of $2.2 billion.
    • Coordinated and scheduled satellite contact activities with global tracking and communication agencies.
    • Monitored ground resources and directed emergency actions to restore mission critical equipment.
    • Optimized satellite payload and equipment performance and resolved on-orbit emergencies.
    • Provided combat essential missile warning information to US and allied forces worldwide.

     

    Orbital Analyst, 2/1994 - 9/1994

     

    1st CACS – Colorado Springs, Co

     

    • In charge of updating and posting element sets for over 200 active satellites.
    • Helped locate five lost satellites and inform the users of the satellites new positions.

     

    DSS/DSO, 10/1992 - 1/1994

     

    5th Space Warning Squadron – Woomera

     

    • Combat crew member of the Defense Support Program's overseas missile warning ground station .
    • First person to detect all missiles launched within the Eastern Hemisphere from Scuds in Iraq to ICBMs in Russia.
    • Provided missile warning to the US and Australia National Command Authorities and US commanders.
    • Monitored and controlled the processing of missile warning information to continuously optimize the probability of missile detection.
    • Additional duties as Unit Intelligence representative and alternate Equipment Custodian in charge of $46,000 in mission-essential equipment.

     

    9/1991 - 9/1992

     

    • Det 1, 6th Space Operations Squadron TDOE (TDO Evaluator) Spokane, Washington TDO Evaluator Integral member of a 6 person select team responsible for standardization and evaluation of all space operations supporting the DMSP Satellite Program valued at $325 million.
    • Established and maintained rating criteria to objectively measure and compare crew performance.
    • Developed mission procedures and coordinated their implementation.
    • Maintained evaluator and operational qualifications as a Satellite Tracking and Data Operator.
    • Performed all actions necessary for mission data retrieval and recording.

     

     

    Commanding Systems Operator, Tracking and Data Operator, 03/1988 - 08/1991

     

    5th Satellite Control Squadron – Spokane, Washington

     

    • Responsible for timely and accurate commanding of four DMSP (Defense Meteorological Satellite Program) satellites valued at $233 million dollars.
    • This position required extensive knowledge of the satellite and the recorders on the satellite.
    • Only crew member responsible for spacecraft acquisition and tracking using sophisticated data acquisition equipment.
    • Also responsible for retrieving, recording, transferring primary mission data from spacecraft to DOD user agencies.
    • Had to recognize equipment failure and perform essential contingency actions based on thorough knowledge of ground systems operations.
    • Communicated with user agencies up to 25 times per day for data delivery.
