    Automated System Analyst - Avionics Guidance and Controls Test and Integration

    Greater Los Angeles Area

     

    Automated System Analyst and Aerospace Engineering Technician were on F-20, F18, B2, YF23, TSSAM, and many other projects.

     

    I configured software and hardware for test articles by producing CAD physical and logical diagrams, reading schematics and logic diagrams in preparation of test articles for testing after discussing the test requirements with different engineer group to meet their data requirements. 

     

    I designed, developed and data analyst in real-time integrated avionics and flight control simulation (RT-SIM) software and software tools and providing analysis and solution for system/software engineering requirements for the GCIL Tri-Service Standoff Attack Missile (TSSAM) Ironbird in the Missile Integration Complex (MIC). 

     

    Other Duties:

    Other lab responsibilities were providing for all documentation necessary to support production of test procedures BOMs, ICDs, SCDs, ECOs.  As well as CAD drawings, procured and installed Test Equipment and coordinated lab daily operation and worked different national and local requirement expertise in specialized areas such an AQMDS, Fire Inspector, and other agencies.

     

    Wind Tunnel:

    The installation and calibration of wind tunnel models with bubble packs, 6 axis balances, air data transducers to simulate flight speeds and attitudes while collecting data at different attitudes and speed conditions for aerodynamics, engineer studies, destructive testing scenarios.

     

    Smoke and water tunnel:

    The installations of models were instrument for laminar flow studies and Reynolds’s number studies by different company scientist, collected data results, and reduced data for presentation to company scientist.

     

    Structure Test:

    The installation of coupons and different parts of aircraft testing environment life time studies, simulated particle impact as weapons fire of small or large rounds impact aircraft surfaces different types of micro-measurements strain gages were applied to surface and wired back data acquisition equipment for collection during duration of the study.

     

    One study was after an F/A 18 wing bulkhead a crack causing a catastrophic failure causing the crash of F/A 18 during a mission. Strain gages had to be applied and measured during each test.  I was the technician working this for 18 hours straight because results of the finding were need urgently for reports going to military brass.

     

    Prototype tests:

    I was engineering technician in charge of using CADAM to show the mechanical and physical design of the prototype test set.  After I had to acquisition parts and construct the prototype test sets for use on prototype test articles in test and integration laboratories as well as engineer design changes as result dictate.

     

    One prototype was air data simulator for testing altitude and speed within the lab environment in a hardware versus software simulation study.

     

    Field Technician

    Installed, configured, and maintained routers including HP and Cisco (Basic ICMP Cert), V.35, RS422, RS232, Fractional T1 and T3, 9.6K, Switch 56, Bridged, DS0, DDS, E1, T1, and T3 Circuits, CPE, and Network Elements while providing detailed reports for customer effecting outages.

     

    • Worked on and off-shift for special projects and / or customer requests while working with Lucent 5ESS, GTE, Nortel DMS, and associated transport networks with different ILEC, CLEC, and / or IXC, keeping the MTTR an absolute minimum.

     

    Network / Senior Switch Technician

    Subject matter expert implementing and maintaining updates of operational knowledge of networks interconnection circuits within the market from virtual circuits (ATM and IP) to physical circuits (iDS0, DS0, DS1, DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48, OC192, and microwave radios).

     

    * Maintained circuits, equipment, and applications for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance related to the network (NSS), radio access network (RAN), network design, capacity awareness, fire suppression systems, AC / DC power systems, generators, UPS, and HVAC.

     

    * Implemented, configured, and maintained soft switches, servers, media gateways, controllers, MGCP as well as H323.
