May 2006 – Sep 2010 Reserve National Security Space Institute Space 200 Instructor Provided full-spectrum training as well as tailored space oriented training to Department of Defense personnel. Presented satellite command and control training from command signal origin through command execution. Sep 2004 – Apr 2008 Raytheon – NRO Operations Squadron Field Engineer/Systems Operator/Launch Integrator/Shift Chief Conducted mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite operations. Ensured proper command and telemetry data flow during real time operations. Detected, isolated, and resolved problems that affect data integrity. Performed data collection, trending, analysis, and reporting to ensure requirements accountability for end-to-end support to the operational mission. Directed launch support operations for all national assets. Performed Shift Chief duties including troubleshooting, network reporting and program scheduling.
Sep 2004 – May 2006 7th Space Operations Squadron Ground Systems Operator Coordinated and scheduled ground equipment and satellite contact activities for GPS satellites. Feb 2004 – Sep 2004 3d Space Operations Squadron Satellite Vehicle Operator Completed Defense Satellite Communications System initial qualification training. Separated from active duty prior to completion of upgrade qualification training.
Sep 2000 – Feb 2004 533 Training Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, CA Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) Instructor
Taught over 1800 hours of fundamental and initial qualification instruction for SBIRS telemetry, tracking and commanding system using both Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) and dedicated resources. Responsible to 2d Space Warning Squadron (SWS) for Initial Qualification Training (IQT). Analyzed unit operations to establish corresponding course training requirements. Developed and maintained over 2000 pages of courseware. Gained proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Managed squadron security program.
Sep 1998 – Sep 2000 13 Space Warning Squadron, Clear AFB, AK Space Object Identifier/Detection Radar Operator/Instructor/Evaluator Conducted real-time analysis and reporting of satellite identification data to the Space Control Center and Combined Intelligence Center for mission determination and threat assessment. Assisted in maintaining accuracy of Air Force Satellite Catalog. Responsible for training and evaluating all new personnel. Developed and implemented new Training and Evaluation Performance Standards (TEPS) for improved operations. Qualified Intelligence Operator. Oct 1996 – Sep 1998 1st Space Operations Squadron, Falcon AFB, CO Multi-Positional Systems Operator Certified in Crewforce Management Concept of Operations (CONOPS) allowing one operator to run both ground and satellite systems simultaneously. Certified GPS, DSP, TOAS and Ground System Operator. Coordinated and scheduled ground equipment and satellite contact activities through AFSCN. Planned and performed launch and early orbit operations. Conducted end-of-life testing on GPS Satellites. Responsible for initial and recurring training for all personnel. |
