    l  Station Duty Officer (SDO), Sponsor Coordinator, MWR Rep.

    Station Duty Officer, In charge of a diverse rotational shift consisting of 5 military and 2 civilians at a Satcom Facility in Naples Italy. Responsible for operating and maintaining baseband and other associated equipment to include:  Enhanced Bandwidth Efficiency Modems (EBEM), MIDAS Switch Systems, Promina Multiplexer, FCC-100 Multiplexer, Cryptographic Equipment, Monitor and Control Systems (TMCS), PSAX ATM Switch System, ST-1000Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Specialist at the Lago Patria Teleport site, supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M). Responsible for operating and maintaining SATCOM C-Band and Ku-Band earth terminals, Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Extremely High Frequency(EHF) terminals, Super High Frequency (SHF) Satellite terminals which consists of: High Power Amplifier (HPA), Upconverters, Downconverters, Antenna control units (ACU),  Satellite Beacon Tracking Converters, Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA) and LNA Switch, Equipment Redundancy Switches, Fiber Optics Transmitters, Receivers and Modems. Responsible for the Safety of all personnel on my watch team. Responsible for updating my higher ups of all missions, personnel, equipment, Crypto, and Facility situations. Updated the Station Duty Log of everything that happened on my shift. Updated multiple reports pertaining to missions and equipment which were viewed by the entire upper leadership.

    Sponsor Coordinator: Find out  via message traffic or upper leadership of any new personnel coming in and assign them a sponsor. Make sure the Sponsor contacts the new personnel and arranges transportation, housing, and assist them in checking it to the Organization. I would keep a record of each new member listing Family, Pets, Address, Vehicle, and name of sponsor. The sponsor would be the new person’s Point of contact until they are checked in and on their own.

    Divisional Morale, Welfare, Recreation Representative: I would work with the Command Rep with any command activities such as command picnics, Navy Ball, Holiday celebrations, and any other Activities that would improve Morale and welfare of the Organization. Assist with all Fund Raisers. Help with organizing and setting up of the command activities. I would research any activities that were outside the organization and post them so personnel would know what was going on in the community.

Communications Security (COMSEC) material includes; key tape, equipment, firefly keys, electronic key, SDNS products, and all types of secure communications; to include the Secure Terminal Equipment (STE).  Responsible for overseeing the proper destruction of COMSEC material issued to local elements and for destroying unissued COMSEC material that has not been issued for use but which remains in the account vault/security container. Update the Commanding Officer (CEO) of all issues, updates, changes regarding the EKMS program. Responsible to have to Commanding Officer review and sign all paperwork regarding the EKMS program

    Training Petty Officer: Ensure training of personnel to operate and maintain their equipment and related systems. Administer training within the division by planning, developing, and coordinating the division training program to include general military training (GMT), individual watch station qualification, and operator and team proficiency in subsystems.

    Combat Systems Training Team (CSTT) Member: Responsible for training of my watch teams to operate in a multi-threat/multi-warfare environment ensuring all combat systems watch stations are properly manned. Conduct operational scenarios to train and monitor operator, technician, and watch teams to better hone their skills further in support of the ship's mission. These scenarios included execution and evaluation of existing and newly developed tactics.

    l  My shop received a 98% Readiness score during an INSURV inspection while I was a CSTT Member on Board the USS Gary.

    l  While at NAVCOMTELSTA Naples It, I volunteered to go to Afghanistan for 8 months. Received the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the NATO Medal.

    l  On 26 February, 2012, the power supplies to the 52 MIDAS rack shorted and caught on fire shortly before I was relieved as the SDO.  My steadfast leadership and management skills helped my watch team in their troubleshooting efforts as they identified and performed the initial troubleshooting for the problem. Additionally, my watch and myself  stayed beyond our relief time to continue troubleshooting the actions. My efforts helped bring a quick diagnosis to the problem and helped prevent the situation from escalating to further damages.

    l  Received the Iraq Campaign medal, Southwest Asia Campaign Medal.
