    Project: Development, integration and management of the command and control system for military navy ships
    Position: Software integration engineer
    Activity:: The activity foresees the set up of the command and control system of the ships.
    The command and control system is composed by the navigation system (radars, sensors) and the combat system (the weapons system that equips the ship).
    Two activities are carried out in parallel: one in laboratory for software development, management, troubleshooting and one on board for software installation and testing. The two team work always together and the collaboration is essential for this work.
    All the software applications work on Linux platform (Red Hat) and so a preliminary phase foresees the right configuration of the OS and the network configuration (routers, switch, protocols).
    The installation on board follows a preliminary activity of hardware configuration check.
     
    MBDA Italia for Altran Italia – Rome - Italy May 2009 to August 2011
    Project #1: Military project (U.S.A., Germany, Italy) whose purpose is to replace the Patriot antiaircraft system with a new mobile air defence system.
