Product Assurance As Product Assurance Manager I play a major role in the management and monitoring of the sub-contractor’s activities, for Ground / Logistic & Operations / LEOP & Commissioning & hand –Over Phase GSE Electrical & Mechanical in terms of :
- Participate together with the Programs QA Team Leader in the definition of QA & CADM policies & methods to be applied within the TASI Programmes & activities - Working in full coordination with the other team members, in order to ensure the correct implementation of the QA process - Review & approve the QA / PA Documentation - NCR / SPR Data Base management & Configuration control ( NCTS – ARTS – GAIA ) - Ensure on S/Contractor the proper implementation of the applicable QA requirements & Configuration Controll - Provide support to the Project Operations & development department for the investigations for in-orbit / Ground / ILS &OPS Commissioning hand-over / anomalies, and to the identifications / definition of the necessary corrective actions - Notify & perform on Subcontractor PA Audit & Inspection Survey merging and perform & release the related reports |

SW Configuration & SW Quality Assurance I started this activity in 1992 as a part time task while I was still employed in Configuration Controll & Quality Assurance Engineer activities. Assistant to the configuration manager for all the activities of SICRAL 1 Program I provide also a collaboration at the member of an internal committee for the realization of the common S/W Engineering and Quality Assurance to be applied within the Companies composing this industrial group. The activity resulted in the publication of the "S/W Engineering and Quality Handbook" which was a guide suitable for the use in S/W Projects developed under different standards like: DoD STD, ESA, IEEE, etc. My main tasks was: management of human resources within the S/W PA section; planning, organization of activities and departmental budgeting. Preparation, discussion and formal issuance of quality procedures and plans. Liaison with the Customer. Monitoring of subcontractors, including the execution of dedicated Quality Audits and inspections at their sites. Co-ordinating the activities with the S/W Product Assurance departments of other Company sites. The main tasks assigned to the S/W Product Assurance Department are: internal checking the produced documentation by applying a predefined inspection program, coordinating the testing activity also using automatic tools for the requirements tracing, evaluating methodologies and related tools to be adopted for the company S/W Factory, controlling the activities performed by the subcontractors. The main projects I have been involved are: Columbus, Envisat, Nahuel, Sicral S/W Ground Product Assurance system level, & Configuration control All the projects I have been working on are developed in an international environment and this very often involves travelling within Italy and abroad (mainly Europe and USA). I had therefore acquired experience in performing manufacturing control on electronic flight hardware & software by performing inspections aimed at verifying compliance with the applicable quality requirements. Test control & Configuration and witnessing was also one of my tasks.
