    PROJECTS AND REPORTS

    • Link Budget Analysis

Technical report on performing link budget analysis for Eutelsat Atlantic Bird 3 satellite operating in the Ku-band frequencies allocated to the BSS  plan in ITU Region 1 and is located in 5 degrees west longitude.

    • Evaluation of the Performance of a Typical Satellite Modem

The output spectrum of the satellite modem is evaluated and its occupied bandwidth for various carriers and FEC rates are determined using a test bed with appropriate measurement equipment. The unit between the modulator and demodulator permits the injection of the noise in the IF band thereby permitting the performance to be measured at different C/N levels.

    • Digital Communication Systems

Developed a Matlab based simulator to help and understand the basic principles of single user baseband communication system. Various modulation techniques and channel condition were used and the results were studied and compared.

    • Impact of Different Design Parameters On IEEE.802.11a Based ofdm System

Implementation of IEEE 802.11a based orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system and analyze the results according to the impact of different design parameters which here are the modulation level, coding rate and the equalizer which is MMSE and ZF and which of them is good for this system.

    • Managing Peer To Peer And Overlay Content Traffic In ISP Networks

Technical report investigating characteristics and patterns of P2P and overlay based content traffic in today’s internet along with behavioural interactions, algorithms for optimisation and practical  mechanisms and techniques which aim to harmonize the relationship between P2P/ overlay content distribution services and the underlying network –layer traffic engineering.
