On-Board Computer and On-Board Software Team Leader at INTA (National Institute of Aerospace Technique, Madrid, Spain) Responsible of a high valuable group of engineers, I manage current designs of On-Board Computers and On-Board SW in space projects. I am also actively involved in system engineering of the OPTOS Satellite. Among my main responsabilities are to bid in national and international tenders, collaborate with international research groups and consultant in AIV tasks.
Embedded Systems Responsible at INTA (National Institute of Aerospace Technique, Madrid, Spain) Leading programmable logic design of the Flight Subset in OWLS-TRP's project. This project was meant to validate Optical Wireless for Intra-Spacecraft Communications. (ESA Contract: 19545/06/NL/GLC) I was in charged of supplying the embedded processor and low level software (drivers and hardware abstraction level) for XATCOBEO Satellite. I was also collaborating with national and international partners on radiation hardening techniques studies focused on FPGA and CPLD technologies.
On-Board Software Engineer at INTA (National Institute of Aerospace Technique, Madrid, Spain) During this period I was responsible for FOTON-M3 OWLS-Experiment software and embedded processor. I did also run a radiation testing campaign at Paul Scherrer Institut (Switzerland) for qualifiying complex arrays COTS (Comercial Of The Self) components.
R&D Hardware Engineer at Ifara Tecnologías (FLIR Systems) I was in charge of developing a new video processing platform for Photon FLIR thermal camera. This platform was a miniaturized, real time System on Chip (SoC) based on PowerPC processor over a Xilinx FPGA.
HW/SW Co-Design Engineer at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid During my last year of Engineering School, I had a grant to design and develop a conference chip for the communication system in Madrid's underground (METRO). I also designed and developed a motion tracking system based on Hardware/Software co-design over an FPGA based System on Chip.
