Born February 24th 1986 in Vaasa, Finland, citizenship: Swedish and Finnish

    Career Objective

Accomplished RF/microwave engineer with background in the aerospace industry. Experienced in full wave EM modeling, RF circuit design and software development using industry standard tools. Previous consultancy experience has demonstrated fast adaption of new concepts from self-studies, ability to work independently and transparent communication with colleagues and clients. Ambitious and focused on details with the desire to work with a talented team and participate in stimulating projects where previous skills are applied and new ones obtained.

    Professional Experience

    RF/Microwave consultant, RUAG Aerospace, May 2010 - Jan 2013
Served with expertise in design and measurement of satellite payload hardware. Key experiences and responsibilities:
    - Microwave components for 1-30 GHz satellite systems; converters, LNAs and synthesizers
    - Product prototyping; design, tuning and testing
    - Design of planar microstrip circuits
    - EM full wave modeling/design
    - Evaluation and measurement of MMIC circuits
    - Transistor characterization and life tests (durability)
    - RF system budget design
    - Technical support for the hardware production unit
Designed microstrip filters, couplers and impedance-matching circuits using ADS/Momentum. Improved existing LNA and PA hardware performance by re-design and tuning for optimum noise and intermodulation performance. Engaged in developing prototypes of a Ka-band (30 GHz) LNA and an advanced flexible-LO frequency converter. EM modeling of transitions, impedance-matches, resonance free housings and feed-antenna using HFSS. Responsible for designing RF budgets, modeling phase noise in PLL systems and evaluating oscillator specifications. Measurements of converting/non-converting components; S-parameters, group delay, noise, phase noise, intermodulation, overdrive parameters, transistor modeling and EMC. Performed measurements of MMIC in probe-station and tuned hybrid/LTCC circuits using wire-bonding. Responsible for documentation and execution of rigorous burn-in/overdrive durability tests. Technical support for the production unit and assisted with unique tuning-methods to be compliant with specifications.

Master's Thesis Work, RUAG Aerospace, August 2009 - June 2010
The thesis titled "Design of a VCO for frequencies 1-3.5 GHz" has given me highly valuable knowledge on oscillator design, frequency synthesis, space electronics and advanced measurements. Produced two topologies in microstrip technology tunable over the intended frequency range. Measurements agreed well with the ADS harmonic-balance, phase noise and time domain simulation.

Young Engineer, Ericsson, June 2009 - October 2009
Construction, measurements and design of microwave link equipment at the Ericsson research department. Gained experience from working in a lab environment and was engaged in the prototyping of future products.
