    I work since 10 years for MBDA Italia S.p.A company in Rome (Italy). My current job is project manager in the SPADA 2000 Plus system commissioned by Pakistan Air Force.

    I had a job experience in the USA (HuntsvilleAlabama) that lasted for five years. My job was Technical Director for the command and control center (BMC4I) of the MEADS program commissioned by USA Army, Germany and Italian Air Force.

    Job Title: IPT System Lead for Spada 2000 Plus Pakistan program

    I direct and coordinate as project head the design and production activities for main system modules of the air defenxe system SPADA 2000 Plus. These modules are the surveillance radar, illuminator and tracking radar, command and control centre and launchers.

    In datail:

    n          I am responsible for the delivery to the custode of ten (10) batteries of Spada 2000 Plus respecting timeline and budget of the progeam;

    n          I am responsible for the battery acceptance by the customer;

    n          I am responsible for the post delivery test with customer;

    n          I am responsible for the Firing Tests;

    n          I support the Program Director for controlling program cost;

    n          I am responsible for the work commissioned to sub contractors;

    n          I interact with company functions (Procurement, Finance, Contract Mangement, Legal,) in order to guarantee correct activity management;

    n          I am responsabile to manage risks program and their mitigation actions;

    n          I am first interface with final customer;

    n          I am responsible of side project belonging to the OFFSET of the program;

    Job Title: Technical Director of the MEADS BMC4I

    I directed and coordinated all the engineering activities of the BMC4I (i.e. Command and Control Center of the MEADS air defense system) for the D&D phase conducted by the three parent companies: Lockheed Martin, EADS and MBDA Italy. My responsibilities were to direct and supervise the technical activities of System Engineering, Hardware, Software, and Supportability branches.

    In detail:

    n           I directed all technical interactions with the customer (i.e. MEADS International).

    n           I supported the BMC4I Program Lead on cost control (based upon Earned Value management) and schedule progress of the program with the identification and implementation of corrective actions.

    n           I directed the definition of the BMC4I system architecture. Identification of hardware subsystems (HWCIs), software subsystems (CSCIs and CSCs) and their interfaces.

    n           I directed the definition of Requirements and Interfaces of the BMC4I (i.e. PIPS) and their allocation to BMC4I subsystems.

    n           I directed the design and manufacturing of the BMC4I system.

    n           I directed the design and development of the simulation of the BMC4I system in a distributed environment.

    n           I directed the definition of test plans and preparation of test laboratories to conduct Test and Qualification activities of the BMC4I.

    n           I was the ultimate technical responsible for the preparation and conduction of the design reviews of the BMC4I system including PDR and CDR

    n           I chaired the BMC4I IPT Engineering Screening Board and support to the Change Control Board (CCB) for managing system changes.

    n           I supported the activities for Risk Management (as member of the Risk Control Board).

    Job Title: Systems Engineer Lead for MBDA activities in the MEADS BMC4I

    n  Responsible for all systems engineering activities relative to MBDA work-share for the BMC4I of the MEADS program during RRE and RREM phases.

    n Analyzed and defined requirements regarding the evaluation of the threat, battle space determination and optimum engagement scheduling. The activity required the use of UML language, developing Use Cases and Sequence Diagrams (using Rational Rose and Requisite Pro tools). .

    n Defined the interfaces (IDL interfaces with CORBA middleware) between MBDA pilots (software packages) and all other BMC4I pilots developed by Lockheed Martin and EADS.

    n Designed and developed algorithms for threat assessment and engagement scheduling based on mathematical theory for optimum research. The activity required the development of algorithms simulations using MATLAB and SIMULINK tools in order to certify requested performances. Produced ad-hoc scenarios for software code (C++) validation to certify correct software implementation of the algorithms that I designed.

    n Conducted integration and test of MBDA software packages in the overall MEADS BMC4I software environment.
