¨ Managed a team to propose, design, build and test the recovery system of a rocket to fulfill the requirements of the NASA USLI competition and presented multiple reports to NASA officials.
¨ In 2012, after first year’s performance, fulfilled same responsibilities with the addition of responsibility for the altitude control system for a rocket to compete in the Experimental Sounding Rocket Association Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition.
Space Vehicle Design – Fall 2012
¨ Worked in a 9 person team to propose, study, and present an analysis of a crewed mission to Mars.
¨ Specifically personally researched and designed the Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) phase of the proposed mission.
Intro to Engineering Design Project – Spring 2011
¨ Worked in a 6 person team through the engineering design process to conceptualize, design, build, and test solutions to a given design problem.
¨ Collaboratively engineered a working wind turbine system, tested it in real world conditions, and analyzed methods for improving performance of hypothetical further designs.
