I have 17 years of experience in Satellite RF Communications in the military, civilian and government contractor sectors of the industry. I also have a Bachelors in Electronic Engineering Technology, Associates in Electronic Systems and Associates in Aerospace Propulsion. My long experience and education has provided me strong troubleshooting capabilities and being able to view systems in their entirety to pinpoint possible issues and provide meaningful solutions to those issues. I have firsthand knowledge of building new communication systems, with the experience gained at my current position in establishing a new Network Operations Center in Stuttgart, Germany. I have worked on and or trained extensively on multiple antenna systems; from VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) equipment to satellite teleport broadcast antennas. Creating and disseminating link budgets as I was working in Operations at the Intelsat Customer Service Center. There I also utilized TT&C (Tracking, Telemetry and Control) systems for the company satellites and used extensively monitoring systems for satellite access, interference isolation and troubleshooting. Also while at Intelsat, I developed and executed test procedures for ground earth equipment that for the Emergency Response System program. Thorough knowledge of satellite ground systems set-up and operation while working with various the satellite systems throughout my career. My 5 years working at the Network Operations Center has given me broad knowledge and hands on experience with IP networks, from structure, planning, set-up and maintenance. I have learned and used Linux Redhat command language, navigating through our telephone switch systems and for our background database management for our monitoring software. I configured RF communication systems for X-band, C-Band, EHF, Ku and Ka bands and am aware of their range, capabilities and limitations. I am well versed in ITAR and international regulations concerning the satellite industry. I currently work with telephony systems here at the Network Operations Center. .
