    SUMMARY

    I am a consultant over 10 years of experience in test and verification of different RF items as:  antennas, transponder and payload. A deep experience of satellite testing has been also developed.
    Within ten years of career I have gained considerable experience in the field of RF measurements, starting from small components up to entire antennas and complex systems. Along the way, I've enlarged my know-how with integration and functional tests.
    I have learned to work together and with all the people involved in such a complex process, in the context of high quality standards to ensure the success of the mission.
    Now I feel ready to expand my skills comparing them with the best of excellence in Europe and worldwide.
     
    Skills:
    •    Antenna pattern characterization using Near Field Test Range systems (planer, spherical and cylindrical).
    •    Anechoic Chamber RF Assessment using 18 terms correction technique to evaluate the error budget.  
    •    RF measurements in anechoic chamber (conducted & radiated). In particular Emission and Susceptibility, EMC, Auto-Compatibility and Compatibility versus external sources, Shielding and Reflection.
    •    Bench RF measurements. In particular S Parameter characterization of RF chains, Time Domain analysis and PIM.
    •    Excellent knowledge of test bench instrumentation. In particular Vector Network Analyser, Spectrum Analyser, EMI Receiver, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Power Meter, Multi Meter and Milliohm Meter.
    •    EGSE Calibration and Validation.
    •    Troubleshooting.
    •    Excellent knowledge of the Quality and Safety company standards.
    •    Excellent knowledge of procedures, software, standardized processes and ISO 9001 & ECSS certificates.
    •    Electrical tests at system (Spacecraft) and subsystem (Antennas & Payloads).
    •    Platform functional tests on EPS, AOCS and DH subsystems.
    •    Use of various SCOEs (TTC, RF, SAS, PYRO, BATSIM, GSSL and ESA).
    •    Environmental tests (Thermal Balance, Vacuum & Cycling, Vibrations and Acoustics).
    •    Analysis of specifications.

    Project Description: Performing since 2010 various AIT activities in Italy and abroad (France and Russia), in the frame of following projects: GBS2, Galileo, KazSat3 and O3B Satellites. The activities performed are listed in the following:
     
    Rome (IT):
    •    AIT RF test engineer on GBS2 project, AIT production of satellites from FM10 to FM24.
    •    Carried out the anechoic chamber characterization in terms of shielding and reflectivity for ESA standard certification after external audit.
    •    Carried out the analysis for the feasibility in terms of RF high power management of the of the absorbing wall panels of the anechoic chamber placed in TAS-I Rome premises, for proposals of the Galileo FOC project.
    •    AIT RF test engineer on KazSat3 project, payload integration and performance characterization.
    •    AIT RF test engineer on O3b project, AIT production of satellites from FM8 to FM12.
     
    Toulouse (FR):
    •    Carried out the calibration and acceptance test for O3b RF EGSE to be used for the AIT production in TAS-I Rome premises.
    •    Carried out several meetings, starting from the definition of requirements of KazSat3 OCOE (SMS & RF) both for Payload and TCR subsystems, to the validation and acceptance test.
     
    Zheleznogorsk (RU):
    •    AIT RF test engineer on KazSat3 project, carried out health check after shipment and mating of the payload & TCR subsystems, IPT before environmental test campaign, Thermal Balance and Thermal Cycling, FPT, radiated measurement (PIM, auto compatibility and polarization check).

    Project Description: Performing since 2004 various AIT activities in Italy and abroad (France and Germany), in the frame of following projects: GSTBV2, Hot Bird 7A, SAR2000, Cosmo SkyMed, Amos3, Sicral 1B, Kompsat 5, W2M, W7, GBS2, Galileo. The activities performed are listed in the following:
     
    Rome (IT):
    •    AIT RF test engineer on GSTBV2 project, qualification of the navigation antenna for Giove B.
    •    AIT RF test engineer as focal point for the project Cosmo SkyMed, tile antennas production from EQM, PFM and FM2 to FM40. Same role for the project Kompsat 5, antennas production from FM1 to FM10. The latest activities were carried out at TAS-I L’Aquila premises.
    •    AIT RF test engineer on several project like Hot Bird 7A, Amos3, Sicral, W2M, W7. Act as a test facility responsible for previous programs.
    •    AIT RF test engineer on GBS2 project, responsible of AIT production over all technological island of the L-Band RX Antenna from PFM to FM20.
    •    AIT RF test engineer on Galileo NAVANT project, involved for industrialization of the AIT production.
     
    Toulouse (FR):
    •    AIT RF test engineer on GBS2 project, responsible for the qualification test campaign of the PFM.
     
    Cannes (FR):
    •    AIT RF test engineer on Cosmo SKyMed PFM satellite, troubleshooting analysis and optimization of the beam forming network of the SAR antenna panels. Carried out time domain measurement using PNA.
     
    Munich (DE):
    •    AIT RF test engineer on Cosmo SKyMed PFM antenna panel, responsible for the health check test campaign after acoustics. Power consumption of the DUT was carried out at IABG test facility.
     
    Assignments: Specific activities performed were.
    •    Test case development and mapping against requirements.
    •    Writing and debugging of test procedures.
    •    Preparation and validation of the test set up.
    •    SCOE calibration and verification.
    •    Troubleshooting and analysis of problems on DUT.
    •    Writing and manage of NCR, PVS, AAU, TRR and TRB/DRB.
    •    Troubleshooting and analysis work.
