    Work Experience (Since November 1983)

ManTech SRS Technologies (aka SRS)                     (Feb 2007-Nov 2012)

    Title: Engineer

Worked through ManTech SRS Technologies, Incorporated (aka SRS) to provide engineering support in fulfillment of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and California Institute of Technology Reliability Engineering Support Services (RESS) contract.  Directly supported JPL’s 5131 Product and Circuit Reliability Engineering Group on the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) project, Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) project, Juno project and others.  Performed reliability assessments, circuit modeling, EPSA, WCA, and Single Events/Effects Analysis.  Provided MSL, SMAP and JUNO Mission Assurance Managers (MAMs), CogEs and PEMs analysis, thorough reports and detailed recommendations.  Performed/reviewed reliability analyses; assessed performance with respect to requirements; evaluated failure reporting, analyses, and corrective action implementations; establishes reliability models and utilized said models for systems and subsystems analysis, and used computer aided engineering tools. Supported design teams and recommended design changes that had significant positive impact for the MSL, SMAP and Juno projects. Demonstrated ability to leverage years of design experience to the MSL, SMAP and Juno projects by recommending necessary design changes that mitigated reliability issues identified through circuit modeling and reliability analyses. Performed reliability analysis on several of the MSL Terminal Descent Sensor (TDS) modules, modeled all device permutations of the circuits using PSpice and determined under certain conditions CMOS devices were improperly biased resulting in certain failure. Also, identified that disconnection of a mating connector (during ground operations) would create an overvoltage condition by collapsing an inductor’s field. Worked with the CogEs and MAM to make sure the recommended design changes were implemented thus assuring mission success where potential mission failure was a near certainty. See Mantech.com.

    Hybrid-Microcircuits                         (May 2006-Feb 2007)

    Title: Sole Proprietor

Operated an engineering consulting servicewhich provided analysis support for military/commercial RF and microwave hybrid assemblies (bothactive and passive). See Hybrid-Microcircuits.com.

bd Systems, Incorporated                             (Jan. 2004-May 2006)

    Title: Engineer

Worked through bd Systems, Incorporated to provide engineering support to the USAF on the SER project/contract at the Space, Missile Systems Center, located at the Los Angeles Air Force Base. The specific task being performed is related to space quality parts, materials and processes as utilized for satellites and expendable launch vehicles during which improvements to MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-883, and MIL-STD-1547 were generated and are now invoked by DSCC, JEDEC and the US Air Force as an Aerospace TOR. Recognized expertise in digital, analog, and RF design and analysis as recommendations were implemented project wide. Additionally, performed WCA, PSA, Single Events/Upset Analyses.
