    Job information:

     Current job:

    Junior research fellow (JRF)

     Job location:

    Sriharikota

     Date available:

    immediately

     Industry:

    SDSC-SHAR, ISRO

     Keywords:

Knowledge in MST Radar data processing and analysis, Capable of dealing with meteorological instrumental data like 50m meteorological tower, Mini boundary layer mast, GPS- Radio sonde, Disdrometer and minor operations of weather forecasting like WRF and ARPS model. Knowledge in Atmospheric Physics framed in radiative, chemical, dynamical and energetic processes of the middle and upper atmosphere

    Work experience:

Currently Iam working as a Junior Research Fellow from September 2009 onwards. Specialized in Electronics in M.Sc (physics) and atmospheric science in M.Tech (Space Technology and Applications). M.Tech project in Atmospheric science on Temporal wind field variations of MST Radar – Application for satellite launch vehicle from SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota, ISRO.

    Highlights of Research work:

    • Radio refractivity structure constant using MST Radar diurnal data of the year 2002 to 2005
    • Climatology of Radio refractive index over SHAR region using twenty two years surface observational data of pressure, temperature and relative humidity.
    • Upper wind climatology over SHAR region using thirty years data of RAWIN and two years of GPS-Radio sonde.
    • Onset Phase of North-East Monsoon-2010 over SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota

    Highlights of project work:

    • Upper wind field over a Satellite launch station plays a crucial role in terms of Dynamic pressure wind loads up to about 20 km height. Generally, to minimize the wind loads and angle of attack to the vehicle, Day of Launch Wind Biasing (DOL-WB) technique is being adopted at SDSC SHAR, ISRO. To meet this requirement, wind profile is estimated over Launch station by releasing a Balloon at T-3 Hrs and tracked by Radar. Wind profile thus obtained is used to design Mission Trajectory. This technique reduces wind loads and increases the probability of launch on launch day.

Conference/ Workshop: NSSS-2010, INEMREC-2011, ARWPCC-2011, NSSS-2012 and COSPAR-2012 poster contributions in order to spread the achievements of my research.
