    Highlights of Research work:

    • Radio refractivity structure constant using MST Radar diurnal data of the year 2002 to 2005  
    • Climatology of Radio refractive index over SHAR region using twenty two years surface observational data of pressure, temperature and relative humidity.
    • Upper wind climatology over SHAR region using thirty years data of RAWIN and two years of GPS-Radio sonde.
    • Onset Phase of North-East Monsoon-2010 over SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota

     

    Highlights of project work:

    • Upper wind field over a Satellite launch station plays a crucial role in terms of Dynamic pressure wind loads up to about 20 km height. Generally, to minimize the wind loads and angle of attack to the vehicle, Day of Launch Wind Biasing (DOL-WB) technique is being adopted at SDSC SHAR, ISRO. To meet this requirement, wind profile is estimated over Launch station by releasing a Balloon at T-3 Hrs and tracked by Radar. Wind profile thus obtained is used to design Mission Trajectory. This technique reduces wind loads and increases the probability of launch on launch day.

     

    Conference/ Workshop: NSSS-2010, INEMREC-2011, ARWPCC-2011, NSSS-2012 and COSPAR-2012 poster contributions in order to spread the achievements of my research.
