    Dear Madam or Sir,

    I currently work as a Project Engineer at the CIRA (Italian Aerospace Research Centre) Icing Wind Tunnel, known to be the most advanced icing wind tunnel in the world.

    My day-to-day responsibilities go beyond those of a Project or Test engineer and I would describe my role as multifunctional and interdisciplinary. I take care of the technical aspects of the projects, assess the costs and manage the budget of our test campaigns and am also responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with our customers. I am also involved in several other tasks, including the drafting of the commercial documents and of the contracts. I also perform part of the Project Management role.

    The customers I work with include some of the largest aircraft and aeronautical components manufacturers in the world. Typically, in any year I manage contracts with an aggregate worth of approximately €1,500,000/annum.

    While my day-to-day responsibilities are focused on project managing, I am also involved in research and development activities, and carry out experiments using different techniques, such as PIV, pressure transducers, IR thermography and others.

    I am keen to continue to develop my skills and to gain expertise in new fields. I have taken a number of courses and obtained qualifications on energy efficiency and production and on project management. This further study has allowed me to broaden my technical skills and to deepen my knowledge of industrial production plans, as well as of project management. As a result of these additional qualifications, I was able to work as a freelance consultant on a number of energy management projects over the past 12 months.

    I speak Italian (mother tongue), English and Spanish fluently. I also have a basic knowledge of Danish (having spent 18 months in Denmark in 2005), German (which I am still perfecting through daily study) and Chinese.

    I am passionate about what I do and have worked hard and applied myself to the best of my abilities throughout my professional and academic careers. I would like to continue to develop my career, finding a role that affords increasing levels of responsibility while allowing me to continue to learn and develop my skills.
