    Education

    • PhD in Physics by the University of Barcelona, 09/2008
Thesis: “Quantum Chromodynamics in the Large Nc limit and Effective Field Theories”

    • Bachelor’s degree in Physics by the University of Barcelona, 02/2003

    Experience

10/2010 - 10/2013   Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany

10/2008 - 10/2010   Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada

In both universities I worked as a researcher in Theoretical Particle Physics.
Working in conjunction with university professors and supervising doctoral candidates, my task consisted in the evaluation of precision calculations in Quantum Field Theory. The complexity of the task required the use of simplification algorithms and advanced analytic, numerical and statistical methods, and could only be performed through the use of computer clusters and programming in specialized software (as well as generic software like Mathematica)

Independence and a strong physical and mathematical background were necessary assets that I further developed. My job also involved a great deal of teamwork, for all tasks were performed by several people working in parallel. In addition, giving talks at international conferences (as well as teaching undergraduate students in Karlsruhe and Barcelona) allowed me to hone my communication skills.

I have 14 published works in journals such as Physical Review Letters, Journal of High Energy Physics, or Nuclear Physics. All of them can be obtained from the following URL: http://arxiv.org/find/all/1/all:+mondejar/0/1/0/all/0/1
