ALMA will study the building blocks of stars, planetary systems, galaxies and life itself. As part of the project ALMA, ESO has designed the infrastructure needed for storing all the information captured by radio telescopes and thus ensure that the information will be available to all scientists. My job is to maintain and manage our infrastructure remotely from the facilities of ESO and from the Max Plank Institute in Munich.
