    PROJECT-4: Snow covers monitoring for the Indian Himalayas using AWiFS data through Satellite remote sensing & &GIS techniques. CLIENT: Space Application centre (ISRO). Dept. of Space, Satellite Road, Ahmedabad-380015. WORK PLACE: Space Application centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad-Gujarat (onsite). OBJECTIVE: The main aimed of the project is to provide relevant seasonal Snow fall information in the Indian Himalayas. To estimate seasonal snow for each basin and calculate how much area retreat for every year for particular basin. CONTRIBUTION: We have used five-day repetitive Awifs multi spectral data , high precession geographically referenced and masked for each basin and execute NDSI algorithm, to extract snow and non- snow area information for each basin. Finally calculate the statistic for each basin and prepared for mean snow Map.

    PROJECT-5: Glacier Mass Balance for the Himalayas using Awifs Multi spectral data Through Satellite Remote sensing &GIS techniques. CLIENT: Space Application centre (ISRO). Dept. of Space, Satellite Road, Ahmedabad-380015. WORK PLACE: Space Application centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad-Gujarat (onsite). OBJECTIVE: The main aimed of the project is to provide relevant seasonal glacier information for the Indian Himalayas. Mass balance of a glacier is usually referred as total loss or gain in glacier mass at the end of Hydrological year. This is estimated by measuring total accumulation of seasonal snow and ablation of snow at the end of Hydrological year. CONTRIBUTION: To generate spatial database in GIS environment of extent and retreat of glacier for seasonal wise, we have used five–day repetitive AWiFS data to validate retreat for each glacier. Finally calculate snow and non-snow area extraction /statistics for each glacier area table and preparation of Glacier Map.

    PROJECT-6: Shore Line Change Atlas of Gujarat Coast. CLIENT: Space Application centre (ISRO). Dept. of Space, Satellite Road, Ahmedabad-380015. WORK PLACE: Space Application centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad-Gujarat (onsite). OBJECTIVE: The main objective of the project is to prepare digital atlas in GIS environment of existing coastal land use / land covers maps prepared on 1:25000 scale using high resolution Liss-IV data of 2004-06 period, depict and quantify shore line changes as eroding/accreting/stable with reference to existing database of 1989-91period, show status of shoreline protection measures taken by Gujarat state and generate Coastal atlas of Gujarat state. CONTRIBUTION: 1. Registration of two time frame data sets considering rail, road and high water Line. 2. Transfer of shoreline (High water line of 1989-91 and 2004-06 to uniform Projection). 3. Marking of shoreline changes as eroding, accreting, stable. 4. Area and length calculation for shore line changes and depiction on each map. 5. Depiction of status of coastal protection measures in Gujarat state. 6. Final map composition and preparation of Gujarat Atlas.

    PROJECT-7: National Wetland Inventory and Assessment. CLIENT: Space Application centre (ISRO). Dept. of Space, Satellite Road, Ahmedabad-380015. WORK PLACE: Space Application centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad-Gujarat (onsite). OBJECTIVE: The main objective of the project is to generate a Wetland inventory of the country on 1:50000 scale using latest IRS Satellite data, creation of a digital database of wetlands as per NNRMS (National Natural Resources Management System) Standards, and development of a query shell for information retrieval. CONTRIBUTION: 1. Wetland mapping and inventory on 1: 50 000 scale by analysis of Digital IRS LISS III data of post and pre-monsoon seasons. 2. Creation of digital database in GIS environment. 3. Development of query shell for information retrieval. 4. Preparation of State-wise wetland atlases.

    PROJECT-9: Lunar Control Point (Lcp) Generation & Quality Check for Tmc and Hysi Processed Data for Chandrayaan-1. CLIENT: Space Application centre (ISRO). Dept. of Space, Satellite Road, Ahmedabad-380015. WORK PLACE: Space Application centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad-Gujarat (onsite). OBJECTIVE: The main objective of the Chandrayaan project is to generate the Digital Elevation Model with the help of Lunar Control Point and other objective is to prepare the report for data quality check of TMC (Panchromatic stereo) & HySI (64 spectral bands) data set. CONTRIBUTION: 1. To generate the Digital Elevation Model. 2. In TMC data, check the visual (radiometric) quality, line loss and data loss. 3. In HySI data, check the line drop out, Quality parameters pixel shift and Data Break.

    PROJECT-10: natural resources atlas of arunachal pradesh using satellite data (Liss-III) Through remote sensing & gis techniques. CLIENT: Space Application centre (ISRO). OBJECTIVE: The main aimed of the project is to provide significant contribution in “Disaster Management Information System Project”. CONTRIBUTION: Preparation of district wise Natural Resource Atlas with hydro geomorphology maps containing geology/litho logy, geomorphology, geological structures, slope and aspect etc. for western 10 districts of Arunachal Pradesh, based on geology/litho logy, geological structures, geomorphology etc., by using satellite data and field information.
