Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Researching and developing ideas for new electro-optical products for commercial and military industries.
· Designing opto-mechanical systems according to customer specifications and military standards.
· Selecting materials for mechanical interfaces and optical bondings.
· Designing active and passive athermalized IR lens modules.
· Developing accurate positioning mechanisms for zoom lenses.
· Determination of the hardware and software requirements for motion control of motorized opto-mechanical assemblies
· Preparing detailed technical drawings and checking for accuracy.
· Performing structural and thermal analysis of opto-mechanical assemblies.
· Executing tests to validate the designed systems in terms of optical and mechanical performances such as MTF, MRTD, NITD, through zoom concentricity, working temperature, vibration, shock etc.
