Support for the EGSE system for the production of the GALILEO FOC satellites.
In particular maintenance of the Platform EGSE (TT&C SCOE, TMTC FEE, Power SCOE, OBDH SCOE, AOCS SCOE, DBS SCOE) and the Core EGSE (Island Controller for managing the tests on a specific island and interfacing the EGSE/SCOE needed.
At each Core EGSE, thin clients is used running an embedded operating system, which provides the log-in mechanism to connect to virtual machines hosted on the central server blade center)

Procurement and management of EGSE system for the production of the Globalstar 2 and O3b FM satellites.
In particular integration, validation and management of the EGSE system (UMBILICAL, SAS, PYRO, BATSIM, OBSW Loader, AOCS and GSSL SCOE) and validation of OCOE system for each islands: IPT (Initial performing tests), FTP (Final performance test), Thermal chamber, Thermal vacuum, Acoustic, Propulsion and Anechoic.
Participation in TRR, NRB and analysis of NCR with the customer.
HW experience:
As a standard practice in charge is to allocate and connect cables between the EGSE and S/C and to validate set-up as well.
Test on different SCOEs using standard laboratory instruments: Break-out boxes, multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply and others.
These activities carried out for set-up and/or investigations.
Autotests on the SCOEs, with dedicated test cable and software tool for autotest.
SW experience:
Maintenance and configuration of the SDE ambient (Software Development Environment), a specific centralized set of computers more peripherals able to support each off line activities and to provide the adequate data storage environment.
Configuration of the islands for the testing activity. Each island is composed of a server (UNIX) and two or three clients (windows) used by test conductors.
Test experience:
Support to various testing activities on various spacecraft (25 satellites) during various phases, FPT, IPT, TC and TVAC.
Support and execution of the principal functional tests by running sequence by TCC, especially during critical situations.
Analysis of the failure and modification of the code of test sequences. Code inspection of the test sequences to solve the problems occurred during the tests.
Use of the software tools for space activities: OCOE 5, ECHO, DSS, WAND , e-TDHS , DMS
