- Performance of static finite element analysis (quasi-static and thermal loads) of E/O satellite structures using Abaqus/Standard.
- Performance of dynamic finite element analysis (sine and random vibrations) of E/O satellite structures using Nastran/Patran.
- Assessment of topology optimization tools, such as Abaqus/ATOM, Hyperworks/Optistruct and Hyperworks solidThinking Inspire, for the optimization of structural components. Study of topology optimization algorithms and their application to additive manufacturing processes.
Current project: Structural analysis of the Optical Instrument Module (OIM) of the Sentinel-4/UVN satellite for the optimization of the isostatic mounts.

Universal Near Space Platform (UNSP), Payload & Structural Design. (Ongoing project - Extracurricular Project)
Development, simulation, testing, and launch of a High Altitude Platform (HAP); renamed UNSP for this particular project. This platform will be suspended by a multi-balloon system at an altitude of 20 km for 24 hours. The payload consists of a Virtual Reality (VR) system that will broadcast on-live 360 imagery of the Earth’s curvature and near space environment. Expected launch date: April 2016.
Development of a UAV system to augment remote observation via spatial immersion. (Ongoing project - Master’s thesis - Payload development and AIT)
Improvement of a quadcopter UAV through the integration of a Spatial Immersive System (SIS). The SIS consists of a multi-camera payload intended to record VR immersive videos for the augmentation of remote satellite Earth observation.
SEDNA - Planetary Protection in Missions to Icy Moons: A Technology Roadmap. (Ongoing project - Research)
As part of the Master of Space Studies course at the International Space University, this Team Project is conducting a study of Planetary Protection in missions to icy moons within the solar system. Specifically, this study aims to produce a technology roadmap which presents a plan of the necessary technology to achieve satisfactory planetary protection in such missions. Editing of the final report, Enceladus future concepts missions, and study of full-passive Earth Reentry Capsules were performed as part of my duties within the team.
Cubesat Atmospheric Re-entry Experiment (CARE) Mission Design. (Team project, 2015 - Concept mission design)
The CARE mission will provide valuable insight into the debris atmospheric drag interaction by using a COTS-based cubesat intended to conduct scientific observations in LEO and finally reenter through the atmosphere.
Venezuela: On space autonomy. (Team project, 2015 - Research)
Project developed under the International Space University, Space Emerging Countries curriculum. Focused on a political, legislative, economic and social analysis regarding space activities along with an introduction to the present and future of Venezuelan satellite technology.
