    Challenges and deliverances sum up my two decades in Navy. Communications and Space Enabled Applications are areas of my expertise. I handled multiple space-applications and VSAT projects worth USD 200+ million. The project(s) management actively involved coordination with international OEMs, indian system integrators and government organisations. It also entailed control of Team size of 100+ professionals in dispersed locations. Along with strategy formulation, network planning in the fields of SATCOM and Space Applications (such as PNT, AIS, remote sensing) are my other majors.

    Work Experience 

    Joint Director (Space Applications)  Indian Navy  -  2007-2014

    *   Founder team member of Navy’s Space Operations Directorate. 

    *   Member of a Satellite In-Orbit Testing Review Committee.

    *   Procurement, project management and maintenance of multi-band SATCOM networks involving imports from US and Europe based companies as well as Indian Public Sector Undertakings. This included RFI / RFP formulation and techno-commercial evaluations. 

    *    Life cycle implementation - R&D to Operationalisation - of SATCOM resource optimisation models tailored for user requirements.

    *    Operations and integration of SATCOM networks with OFC networks.

    *    Human Resource Development of personnel in the field of SATCOM and PNT. 

    *    Cross functional leadership of geographically dispersed SATCOM teams.

    *     Invited member in various committees on inter-ministerial deliberations on Space matters.

    *     Active interaction with ISRO wrt leasing of SATCOM bandwidth, and satellite design improvements based on user requirements.
