Research engineer on Real Time Networking Scheduling in Intelligent Transportation Systems. Definition, formalization and implementation of a new scheduling algorithms for vehicle transmissions. The scheduling algorithms consider the allocation of time slots in a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) medium access control with the aim of minimizing the average delay for the communication. The algorithm allocates communication resources based on the channel conditions: a user with good channel is allowed to transmit for longer time than a user with bad channel condition, while vehicle to vehicle communications are scheduled when the transmission toward a base station is not convenient. A linear optimization problem with mixed binary and real decision variables is used to model the scheduler. It is shown how the average delay can be actually minimized by using appropriate multi-hop TDMA configurations.

Modelling of system with MATLAB Simulation.
