System Engineer working on a number of Cryo-Cooler subs-systems for various projects including the MTG IRS and FCI missions. Overall technical responsibility of projects reporting to the Project Manager and running a group of engineers working on the Projects.
Day to day activities and duties spread along the whole cycle from Design to Qualification and Acceptance of CPA (Compressor Assemblies) that are central in LPTC Cryo-Cooler machines that ensure cryogenic temperatures at Detector level in order to guarantee high levels of Radiometric performance.
5 / 2014 – 8 / 2015: Resident Engineer of OHB-M System AG, Space, Munich Germany
Relocated by OHB-M from Munich to Madrid Spain in order to oversee, guide and control the day to day work of a number of their MTG Instrument (FCI-TA and IRS) Suppliers (Airbus Defense & Space, SENER, Iberespacio, LIDAX).
Duties included supervision and control of Technical, Schedule, Manpower and Cost aspects of the work of the Suppliers. Daily work includes acting as a focal point for information exchange via on the spot clarifications, answer provision and decision taking. Control and guidance is extended to second level of Suppliers in terms of Telecoms, webex meetings and assistance in various working and progress meetings.
5 / 2012 – 5 / 2014: Lead Structural Engineer (IRS MTG) at Kayser-Threde Space, Munich, Germany
Worked as an external Consultant carrying out Lead Structural Engineer duties of the IRS MTG Instrument for the Munich Germany based Kayser-Threde, now OHB-M Space Company. The project (still ongoing) is the Meteo-Sat Third Generation (MTG). Responsible for running a group of seven engineers (Design, Analysis, Performance and Interface).
Duties included Structural Design guidance, control and assessment in conjunction with Thermal, Performance, AIT and V&V Depts. Liaison with other departments within OHB-M, with Industrial client, ESA and Control and guidance of IRS Suppliers. Preparation for and representation of OHB-M System AG in various meetings (Progress, PDRs, MRRs, etc.).
