Monitoring, analyzing and reporting class I payloads (EDR and FSL) telemetries trends to control the system health for preventive maintenance purposes.
01/2013 - 12/2015: EDR2 (European Drawer Rack 2 – future International Space Station class I payload) Payload and ESPR (European Standard Payload Rack) Functional Engineer.
Responsible for the an ISS class 1 payload Operational and Logistics products, such as:
System Requirements Verification,Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery Analysis (FDIR) analysis, functional analysis and operation concepts,Flight Model (FM) and Engineering Model (EM) database definition and testing,Future class II payloads accommodation and feasibility studies.Payload Operational Manuals and maintenance procedures (Flight and Training models),Logistic Support Analysis (LSAR),Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T) Documentation (Plans and Procedures),Definition of payload labeling, nomenclatures and imagery plans according to the International Space Station standards.
02/2011 - 12/2012: EDR (European Drawer Rack – International Space Station class I payload) Payload Engineering Manager
Engineering management and coordination of a team composed by thermal, structure, environment, safety, logistics, avionic, configuration/CAD analysts. Definition and coordination of short and long term team tasks. Providing technical support to Engineering Support Service, for on-orbit facility monitoring, nominal and off-nominal operations, trouble-shooting, Logistics & Maintenance functions etc. Allover facility-related engineering integration activities towards ISS module (Columbus) and class II payloads (experiments). Facility technical expert acting as interface with the customer for existing products as well as new developments, Generating and maintaining all necessary documentation (IDDs, ICDs, IRDs, VCDs, Engineering, Safety, Ops, Configuration, etc.). Co-ordination of facility System Problem Reports resolution. Provide input for defining and coordinating FM maintenance activities.Overall management of outfitting elements, configuration design and H/W procurement.
