    Grade: First Class with Distinction
    - Masters of Science in Space Engineering
    University of Pisa, Italy, 2012-2015
    Grade: 104/110

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
    - Intern, Industrial Engineering Corporation, Mumbai
    June 2011 to August 2011
Trained in the design and manufacturing of fasteners and introduced to the grading systems prevalent in the industry.
Responsibilities included drafting technical drawings and supervising machining and thread rolling processes.
    - Research Intern, SITAEL , Pisa
    March 2015 to December 2015
Part of a 3 member team to contribute to the design of the D3SAT mission, which is aimed to qualify SITAEL’s low power
Hall Effect thruster HT-100D by mounting it on a microsatellite. Responsibilities included deriving mission requirements in
terms of propellant and thruster firing time and assessing the ADCS of the microsatellite.

    RESEARCH AND PROJECTS
    - Design and fabrication of Gas Turbine (Final year undergraduate project, University of Mumbai), 2012
I was part of a 5 person team, and we designed and realised a working model of a gas turbine. The project was capable of
generating 12 kW with a thermal efficiency of nearly 40 % using only LPG.
    - Lunar Base Precursor, Pre-Phase A (Space Systems coursework project, University of Pisa), 2014
Carried out in a 5 member team, the aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of putting together a precursor mission to test
certain critical technologies required for a lunar base, and to gather data through a series of experiments, exploiting the data we
procure to better understand the necessary parameters required to set up a lunar base.
    - Impact Analysis of Lunar Landing Gear (Aerospace structures coursework project, University of Pisa), 2014
Carried out in a 2 member team, where an ideal lunar landing gear setup was selected, and then a drop-test analysis was carried
out using the powerful ANSYS Explicit Dynamics as well as ANSYS Modal, with emphasis on the energy absorption system.
The data obtained was analysed and work was carried out to improve the efficiency of the landing gear.
    - Mission analysis and preliminary assessment of the Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem for the D3SAT
mission (Master’s thesis, carried out in collaboration with SITAEL), March 2015-December 2015
The D3SAT mission aimed to be executed by SITAEL, involved the design of a mission to characterise the performance of the
low power HT-100D by mounting it on a microsatellite. My contributions were deriving the mission requirements in terms of
propellant and HT-100D firing time, and sizing and selection of the ADCS hardware by using COTS components, which
contributed to the conceptual design of the microsatellite.
