    Education:

    Graduated in 1986 at the I.T.I.S. Giovanni XXIII (Technical high school) of Rome with the acquired marks of 50/60 as Industrial Technician - Mechanics.

    Basic knowledge of the English language spoken and written.

     

    Computer Knowledge:

    Good knowledge of the application packages of Access, Word, Excel, Winproject and of the operative systems AS400 (CMMS).

     

    CURRENT EMPLOYMENT :

    Currently employed as A.I.T. Mechanical operator, with SPACEBORNE BV within IABG facilities in Munich, on SGEO program.

     

    From February 2011 , employed as Senior Mechanical operator with ORTEC Italy within Thales Alenia space Rome site , as follow :

    • From January 11 to September 11 on Galileo IOV program .

    • From October 11 to December 11 on Amos 4 payload program.

    • From January 12 to April 13 on Sentinel 1 and Sentinel 3 satellites .

    • From May 13 to December 14 on O3b and EXOMARS programs.

    • From January 15 employed as A.I.T. mechanical senior operator, with Carlo Gavazzi Space within OHB facilities in Bremen, on EDRS program.

     

    Moreover, for Amos 4 and Sentinel 1 programs I wrote the following operating procedures :

    • Amos 4 North panel units mechanical integration( 15 units and their relevant wave guide route).

    • Sentinel 1 lateral panels assembly and disassembly.

     

    Therefore, my specific skills within AIT activities are as follows :

    • ESA certification for crimping

    • Spacecraft, panels, payloads and units handling.

    • Panels assembly .

    • Units integration on Sc and panels.

    • Multi Layers Insulation installation and handling on external surfaces and units.

    • Environmental test and Electrical test set up preparation (vibration, thermal sensors, heaters installation or gluing)

    • Assembly of structural parts and composite panels.

    • Flight harness routing and installation, including brackets and supports gluing .

    • Thermal hardware manifacturing.

    • Structural bonding with epoxy glues.

    • OSR Gluing and removal.

    • Test and Launch campaign activities in CCAS Florida (Globalstar), Baikonur (Globalstar) and Kourou ( O3B )

     

    PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENTS :

    From April 2004 to February 2010 I am been at the Pharmaceutical Company Wyeth Lederle S.p.A. of Aprilia as Mechanical Utilities Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.

    I also cooperated together with the engineering department regarding the validation of new systems.

    I actively participated, as member and as team leader, to many projects of continuous improvements ,in order to reduce the production cycle time.

    Some examples are Operational Excellence

    Furthermore, I received recognition as Excellence Leader by the Wyeth for the results of these project.

    My last work has been the improvement of maintenance daily management system .

    From July 2000 to November 2003 I was a production Supervisor at the S.G. Aviation. that build ultralight Aircraft . My task was the organization of the production lines and the related procedure drafting.

     

     

    From June 1996 to June 2000 I worked at ALENIA SPAZIO (THALESALENIASPACE) as a A.I.T. Technician I took part at the testing and integration of the following programs :

     

    • GLOBALSTAR ( 72 S/C )

     

    • METEOSAT Second Generation F2 and F3 ( payload )

     

    • METOP ( payload )

     

    I also took part in the launch campaign of the GLOBALSTAR satellites with ZENITH and SOYUZ LV from Baikonur cosmodrome and with DELTA II from CAPE CANAVERAL AIR STATION for the following launches ;

    • ZENITH 1

    • SOYUZ 2, 3, 5, 6

    • DELTA 4, 5

     

    I specifically took care of the revision and drafting of the following operative procedures:

    • Spacecraft integration on Soyuz L. V.

    • Spacecraft not flight hardware removal

    • Spacecraft flight hardware installation

    • Globalstar Mechanical Ground Support Equipment load proof

     

    My last task at ALENIA SPAZIO was to be responsible of GE.RI.TEC data system, developed to manage, storage, calibration and logistics of MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment) for the satellites integration sites of Rome.

     

    From August 1990 to April 1996 I was at the Metalco srl, an Engineering company for clean rooms design and manufacturing as designer.

    Site manager 1993 to 1996.

     

    From April 1990 to July 1990 I worked as a Technician at the shipyards BARRACUDA of Rome.

     

     

    TECHNICAL TRAINING COURSES :

    ESA certification for crimping.

     

    Certification of "Champion" in Industrial Engineering (Advanced Process Kaizen Engineer) achieved with EFESO CONULTING .

    Subjects: Methodologies aimed to the continuous improvement of the parameters related to productivity through the elimination of not add value activities (NVAA) and improvement of production cycle time.

     

    Problem solving course held by EFESO CONSULTING

    Subjects: methodical approach and tools to solve production problems (5S techniques, analysis and evaluation of data, Ishigawa diagram, flow chart).

     

    Basic course Lean Six Sigma “ RED BELT”

    Subjects: Statistical approach and tools (DMAIC, 5W, Ishikawa diagram,

    5S, etc ) aimed to reduce defects in manufacturing processes.

    Subjects: Systematic Approach Maintenance methodologies through TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and RCM (Reiabilty Centered Maintenance).

     

    Theoretical and practical course Managment of cogenerator held by

    General Electric on GE Jenbacher J420 GS cogeneration system.

    Subjects: management and maintenance on GE Jenbacher J420 GS cogeneration system.

     

     

    MILITARY SERVICE :

    I have completed the military service in the Italian Navy as Navy Engineer at Naval station of Augusta (SR) .
