Data Processing Manager
Manage the overall technical activities, coordination, planning, and operation of the Italian Data Processing Center (DPCT) for the ESA scientific mission Gaia.
The DPCT is one of six data processing center in the ESA Gaia DPAC (http://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/dpac/consortium).
Participation to ESA-Gaia Ground Segment Readiness Review.
Coordinate the daily and data reduction DPCT operations activities since the commissioning of the Gaia satellite (launched on 19th December 2013).
ALTEC System Engineer / Data Processing Engineer
Lead the ALTEC Data Processing and Data Management group composed of data engineers, data scientists and software engineers.
Manage the development and integration team to develop, integrate and test the ground infrastructure in the Gaia-DPCT project.
Coordinate ALTEC internal research projects such as the SMAP-ALTEC project dedicated to use data products coming from the SMAP (Soil Moisture Active and Passive NASA Mission) satellite.
Manage hardware procurement interfaces for hardware and software such as HP, Oracle and SGI and usage of super computer HPC.
Interface with the scientific communities.
Training path on the Big Data context in collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino.
Presenter to BiDs 16 at Tenerife and attended to BiDs 14 at ESRNI.
