Worked on the master thesis project on the topic, “Multi-disciplinary design optimisation of a re-entry vehicle for the Earth return service from the ISS”.Developed an automatized design process for the integration of the design disciplines of re-entry vehicle on a common platform. The design process is integrated in the optimization framework for the shape and the trajectory optimization of a lifting body and derived solutions compliant with the given mission and system requirements.
Technical Engineer and Crew Member of Rocket Launch (December 2014 – Jan 2016)

Made a sounding rocket (Stratos 2+) with payload carrying capacity. Technical engineer of capsule and recovery system group within the team. Responsibilities: Assist in manufacturing the capsule parts, verification tests, system functional analysis and integration of the system, write procedure checklist, assist the team during the rocket launch operations. It was launched from INTA Spain on 16th October 2015, which created an European amateur rocketry altitude record.

Responsiblilties: Assist the supervisor/team to perform the numerical panel flutter analysis of rocket launcher, develop a structured mesh for different boundary layer thickness using MegaCads, then analyse the deflection of the panel at subsonic and transonic inviscid flow conditions using DLR TAU code an aerodynamic solver and structural dynamics solver to solve the von-karman equation to compute the unsteady deformation of the structure, perform a comparative analysis of the results.

Responsibilities: Multidisciplinary analysis of A320, using the DLR collaborative design environment with the centralized model CPACS and a set of heterogeneous disciplinary tools. Assist the supervisor/team to develop/validate mass-estimation tool for blended wingbody aircraft using Matlab and integrate the tool in the tool chain, perform the feasibility study of blended wing body configuration using the design process.

As the team leader, I organized the multidisciplinary teams for extra-curricular research projects, defined the mission and system requirements and found innovative solutions through brainstorming sessions, and ensured that all design disciplines meet the requirements. Came-up with an innovative design configuration, developed the mass-estimation module and performed aerodynamamic/aerothermodynamic performance.
