    Relevant Experience:

    8 years experience as a Quality Control Technician within the Aerospace, Defence & Space industries.

    STS Defence -  Contract Quality Inspector for the BAE Systems Eurofighter project. Duties included inspections of knitmesh and connectors for correct fitment and damage, looms correct dimensions to Mylars, Pin Retention checks, no damage to cables and wires, connectors wired up correctly, continuity testing, mechanical and electrical checks for correct assembly to drawings of various other cockpit units.  Documentation such as route history cards and non conformance reports present and complete via electronic MRP system.

    Airbus Defence & Space. Contract Quality Control Technician in Assembly, Test & Integration (AIT) Working in a clean room environment on various satellite payloads. Duties included:- Inspections of DC wire Harnesses & Coax cables for correct routing, sufficient stress relief, bend radius within tolerances, cables connected to correct locations, cables have the correct connector/SOT fitted. torque witness has been completed and no damage such as wrinkling and dents to cables has occurred. Inspections of waveguides and heatpipes, ensuring all fixings are correct, all adhesives and sealants stated in procedures are used, no damage is apparent, orientations are correct and are fitted to correct locations and torque witnessing checks. Ensuring all other hardware is fitted in correct locations with correct fixings, sealants and adhesives used.  Regular health checks on payloads for damage to equipment and payload walls.  Assisting in critical moves of payloads, ensuring procedures are followed step by step and log books are signed and accounted for. Inspections of all equipment needed for testing of payloads, test readiness inspections. Assisting QA with MIPs and KIPs. Recording non conformances via the electronic tracking system and all manufacturing operations recorded electronically.

    Aero Stanrew Ltd - Quality Control Inspector - Duties included :- Carrying out continuity & resistance tests on wire looms and electro-mechanical units.  mechanical inspections on various electro-mechanical units for customers such as Rolls Royce , BAE Systems, GE Aviation and Thales. Ensuring all all fixings are correct and present, dimensions are correct to customer drawings, no damage is visible, and units are wired correctly.  Inspections of PCBA's to IPC 610 class 3 standards, checking that component values and orientations are correct & soldering is to IPC class 3 standards. Recording all Non Conformances and ensuring all rework is carried out correctly.  

    Inspector for Bepi Colombo satellite thruster unit, inspecting crimps, clamps, DC wires, Coax cables & soldered joints to ESA Standards routing to mylar through all stage inspections and final inspections. Assisting QA with MIPs and KIPs. Resistance and continuity tests, recording all data and non conformances.

    Experience of using various tools and measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, go-nogo gauges, feeler gauges, multi meters, meggers, P.S.U's, X-ray machines , comparators and AOI machines.

    Responsible for calibrations of crimp tools, soldering irons and torque drivers, quarantining failed equipment and maintaining meticulous logs of all results.
