    Designed the telecommunication systems for the Edison Demonstration of SmallSat Networks Mission (EDSN) and CubeSat Hydrometric Atmospheric Radiometer Mission – CHARM. This Lead Comm Engineer role for both missions involved gathering requirements, designing subsystem architectures, planning and executing tests, assigning resources, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.

    Identified and articulated a systemic problem with the Center’s process for capturing proposal funding, and envisioned a new approach.  In a politically complex environment, obtained stakeholder support to develop and document this new approach.

    Led a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design the new proposal capture strategy, focused on early maturation of space-related mission concepts well in advance of proposal calls from NASA. This new approach was a radical departure from the status quo, and empowered the Mission Design Center to increase the quality of its product and its effectiveness.
