    Maintaining and adding new criteria for selecting different banners. According to the behaviour of the users we have to choose the right banner to increase the number of clicks.

    Implemented a unit test library using CPPUNIT framework to test our software, this unit tests are currently launched by bamboo each time someone commit their changes in GIT.

    Involved in the frontend backend communication protocol change. The old communication protocol was using fixed blocks of information making this protocol very difficult to maintain, now we are using Google protobuf to communicate both systems.

    Aug 2005-Sep 2010 INDRA

    Software Engineer

    Location: Madrid

    Technologies: C++, C#, OpenGL, TCP/UDP, Multi-threading, STL, Boost, CPPUNIT

    Developing real-time, multithreaded software in C++ for the wide-field visual systems of flight simulators. This simulators are used to teach pilots how pilot a real plane or helicopter. One of the requirements of this simulators is to be able to paint 60 frames per second so performance was a priority in these projects.

    Maintaining the communication layer of the visual system, the visual system is composed by several computers that have to be synchronized between them. The visual system also has to communicate with another system called host which is responsible of calculating the physic and the position of all simulated entities. During this time we developed several projects with other companies in which I rewrote this library to be compatible with different communication protocols like the standard CIGI (Common Image Generator Interface). I also monitored the packets received using programs like wireshark.

    Developed a system to load terrain in real-time. This simulators can simulate a long flight so all the scenario cannot be in our machines’ memory at the same time. A thread was responsible of deciding what should and should not be in the memory and in the graphic card according to the position of the observer.

    Developed a host emulator, to facilitate the integration of our changes with host, I wrote the emulator so it was possible to send expected packets to our visual system. This host emulator is written in C# and communicates with the visual system using TCP/UDP sockets .

    Implemented cruise control continuous integration system that compiles the code and executed some tests when something is uploaded in SVN.
