Jan 2017-Present GMV
Senior Software Engineer
Technologies: Java, C++, Boost, STL, Python, Linux, MySQL, Multi-threading, CORBA
Developing software for Satellite Control Centers.
Member of the fleet team, this team develops and maintains several applications responsible of managing a fleet of satellites. One of our clients is OneWeb, this company will use our software to be able to control a fleet of more than 600 satellites
These applications have a client programmed in Java and a server in C++, we also have a framework in python that allows the user to develop their own scripts to receive and process information. These scripts can be scheduled or executed according to some events.
Refactoring of a ground station monitoring system, we have an application that can manage the devices in a ground station using different drivers, we are making it more flexible so a user can create and modify their own drivers using our tools.
Dec 2013-Dec 2016 Elektrobit
Senior Software Engineer
Technologies: C++11, Linux, Multi-threading, STL, Boost, GoogleTest, Embedded Systems
Member of the Navigation Department of Elektrobit Automobile
Developing software to be able to run our navigation into the next generation of BMW cars, we test and debug our software in the real hardware that will be inside the car.
Making our Navigation Solution compatible with Genivi.
Developing the software to be able to communicate BMW HMI with Genivi.
Design and develop features regarding Map Rendering.
Team manager tasks, create and distribute developing tasks, representing the team towards the client and the management.
Oct 2011-Nov 2013 CR2
Senior Software Engineer
Technologies: C++, C#, Windows, COM, WCF, TCP, Multi-threading, STL
Member of the CR2 solution team for ATMs, this solution manages the operations of the ATMs, and ATM networks.
Refactoring and maintaining the ATMs core software. We were changing the architecture to eliminate duplicate code and to make it easier to test and maintain. The mentioned software is composed of several applications that communicate between each other using COM and WCF. .
Implemented “Remote key loading”, a safe way of sending a shared key from host to an ATM automatically using the RSA algorithm.
Implemented the software for the Cash Acceptor and Cheque Reader devices
Implementing an automatic test system to test the ATM operations.
Sep 2010-Oct 2011 AOL
Technologies: C++, Linux, TCP, Multi-threading, STL, Boost, CPPUNIT
Member of the backend team working on the Adtech product. Adtech is an integrated adserving platform that serves rich media advertising on the web. It currently serves 150 billion impressions a month. The core backend element of Adtech is a C++ multithread software responsible for the real-time selection and delivery of the rich media to websites.
Maintaining and adding new criteria for selecting different banners. According to the behaviour of the users we have to choose the right banner to increase the number of clicks.
Implemented a unit test library using CPPUNIT framework to test our software, this unit tests are currently launched by bamboo each time someone commit their changes in GIT.
Involved in the frontend backend communication protocol change. The old communication protocol was using fixed blocks of information making this protocol very difficult to maintain, now we are using Google protobuf to communicate both systems.

Developing real-time, multithreaded software in C++ for the wide-field visual systems of flight simulators. This simulators are used to teach pilots how pilot a real plane or helicopter. One of the requirements of this simulators is to be able to paint 60 frames per second so performance was a priority in these projects.
Maintaining the communication layer of the visual system, the visual system is composed by several computers that have to be synchronized between them. The visual system also has to communicate with another system called host which is responsible of calculating the physic and the position of all simulated entities. During this time we developed several projects with other companies in which I rewrote this library to be compatible with different communication protocols like the standard CIGI (Common Image Generator Interface). I also monitored the packets received using programs like wireshark.
Developed a system to load terrain in real-time. This simulators can simulate a long flight so all the scenario cannot be in our machines’ memory at the same time. A thread was responsible of deciding what should and should not be in the memory and in the graphic card according to the position of the observer.
Developed a host emulator, to facilitate the integration of our changes with host, I wrote the emulator so it was possible to send expected packets to our visual system. This host emulator is written in C# and communicates with the visual system using TCP/UDP sockets .
Implemented cruise control continuous integration system that compiles the code and executed some tests when something is uploaded in SVN.
