PHD in “New structural and functional materials for space application” with a final dissertation in “THERMAL ANALYSIS OF THE AMS-02 PAYLOAD FOR THE THERMO VACUUM TEST AT THE ESA-ESTEC FACILITY”
The final dissertation deals with the thermal simulations performed for the AMS-02 TVTB test design. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the optimum temperature pro le allowing to check the main payload functionality and the thermal behavior of the most critical items during the test. To achieve this task, the thermal behavior of all AMS-02 subsystems in the LSS environment was investigated by means of a dedicated thermal model.
