PERSONAL STATEMENT |
With almost fourteen years of experience in spacecraft operations covering low and medium Earth orbit satellites, their ground segments, data acquisition, processing and distribution monitoring as well as communication with partner organisations I am keen to explore what other opportunities I may be suited for. Spacecraft operations is a unique environment and set of responsibilities which I believe require the kind of critical thinking, alertness and responsibility that would be of value in many other industries. In the last year I added Group Leader to my list of responsibilities in order to help manage the split company team due to labor law changes. This has been an interesting introduction to team management. |

Communication skills |
Multiple years involved with supporting international teams from the Information Technology department as well as my personal interest in cultures other than my own have provided me with enjoyable experiences with the differences in communication, what is considered rude and polite and expectations between my home country and those of others. I enjoy opportunities to provide information to interested parties on topics I have become familiar with. Equally improving my understanding and finding new topics of interest from other people. |
||||
Job-related skills |
Due to personal interest from a young age I have an strong connection to, interest in and understanding of a variety of technologies and the communities surrounding them. Almost everything I can demonstrate skill with has been self taught or I have learned while working due to necessity. I have a very logic orientated approach to problem solving which starts with having a good understanding of as many components of a system as possible, I believe this has been key to my enjoyment of problem solving. |
