“Karl is a very experienced software engineer with a tremendous breadth and depth of knowledge in computing.”
“Karl worked independently on this project and delivered ahead of schedule a solution that worked tremendously”
“he assisted with time-critical projects unrelated to his primary task, for which we had no other resources, and allowed our company successfully meet certain deadlines and overcome unforeseen obstacles because of his versatility. Karl also assisted in improving our development processes in a number of ways. Even a short, informal discussion with him can lead to greater understanding of software development processes both architecturally and logistically since he draws upon a wealth of knowledge throughout the industry; I would think that this knowledge transfer alone would add significant value to any organization. Therefore, I heartily recommend Karl”
“I have known Karl for several years professionally. He definitely combines the brains with deep and up-to-date tech knowledge, permanent creativity and awareness with flawless judgment, and perfect drive to lead people to a great result. If he is looking to move now, it is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!”
“had worked for me as a senior design engineer in the area of electronics design at Raycon Corp., a manufacturer of custom electrical discharge machines (EDM), Ann Arbor, Michigan. Karl, an extremely qualified and professional engineer, displayed exceptional talents in the design and manufacture of LSI and FPLA circuitry used for high speed signal transfer and real-time EDM process monitoring. In addition, he was responsible for upgrading, configuring, and maintaining the company’s Microsoft network system. Karl has always been one to keep abreast of the latest technological developments in the industry and related areas. I would highly recommend him for both managerial and technical positions.”
“He produces workable solutions that satisfy our customers.”
“Overall Evaluation of Employee Performance: Superior. Beyond competent fulfillment of job requirements”

Realtime Technologies, Inc.
Royal Oak, MI Feb 2009-Mar 2012
Embedded Systems Manager
Product Manager, Project Manager and Senior R&D Engineer at Realtime Technologies, which supplies advanced battle vehicle simulation to government entities, saving lives and money.
Managed final test development for next-generation Abrams tank armament.
Details: In charge of the final test station for the new laser-controlled machine gun atop the Abrams. Personally did the software and electronics work, and oversaw all the mechanical. The mechanical brought very difficult problems, which I personally solved. This was an advanced project for General Dynamics. I oversaw the installation of the two systems- the final stage of the assembly line.
Recordings were taken from real tanks in motion. At our test station, we loaded the commander's weapon station onto a flight-simulator motion base, electrically clamped down these 3000 pounds, and then moved the unit vigorously to simulate battle. In order to measure the laser tracking of the guns, this payload can not move even millimeters. If the unit passes my test station, it is assumed correct, loaded onto a plane and assembled onto a tank for the first time in Europe.
Designed and produced high-realism force-feedback embedded steering system for various high-end military vehicle simulators. Hundreds of these units are in use today by multiple branches of the US military.
Leader of business-critical missions to Europe. Customers include General Dynamics, Airbus, Department of Defense.

Headed the Software Department, plus electronics and systems. Worked on QA high-end inspection machines for automotive, military, and medical applications, using multiple lasers and advanced mathematics, multiple machine vision systems, and electromagnetic induction sensing.
Shortly after being recruited from Wilcox I discovered that this smallish company was running gravely in the red. Metro Detroit business environment was in free-fall.
Drafted as the primary planner for a best-efforts attempted production problem turnaround. This necessitated a company-wide turnaround in entrenched ways, which was not supported by the owning family. In my judgment, this company was therefore no longer savable, and I left.
