(Software: SRIM, CES Material Selection and ESA Comp).

    Dissertation: - Plasma Implantation of Metallic Systems to Enhance Corrosion Resistance - Plasma nitriding is a heat treatment process that diffuses Nitrogen ions into the surface of material (Ti6Al4V, pure Ti and pure Zr specimens used in this case) to enhance the surface properties such as hardness of the material, which is a proven technique for Titanium and its alloys for improving their surface properties. This technique was applied on Zirconium (for Zr applications) along with Titanium and the differences in the results were compared.    (OM, SEM, EDX were mainly used for the material characterisation).

    2007-2011 B.Eng. Aeronautical Engineering from P.B College of Engineering, secured an aggregate of 70% (Anna University, Chennai, India).

    Feb 2014- Sept 2014 Graduate Engineer (Trainee No: T-1416):- Aerodynamics Heating and Thermal Analysis Division (AHTD), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

    Nature of work: - Assisting scientists; testing of materials under Convective and Radiative heat, in the laboratories; Design and analysis for various experiments; making Thermal Protection Systems (TPS), mainly using for covering the sensors in the launch vehicle.

    Skills gained: -Working in AutoCAD, Catia, Ansys Fluent software; Application of C++, MATLAB programming in the real cases; working in MS Office. Thermocouple instrumentations; Characterization and thermal qualification of certain materials (coated) under high temperatures; Emissivity measurement of materials using emissometer; Thermography (Handling and operation of Thermal Imaging Camera and analysing)
