    Work Experience

    Satellogic – Mechanical Project Engineer.

    Oct 2017- Current Position.

Satellogic is an Argentinian aerospace company specialized in the construction of satellites aimed at the capture and post-processing of images. Here, I worked as a Mechanical Project Designer in R&D, performing the calculus, development and execution of space-rated flight parts as well as ground segment equipment.

My duties required a profound knowledge of every component of the satellite and their mutual interaction, and the development of new technologies. For instance, related to: satellite structure, star trackers, reaction wheels, magnetorquers, solar panels, batteries, lens arrays, resistojets, etc.

Regarding Ground Segment Equipment, I have worked mainly in the development of equipment for the acceptance and testing of optical, electronic and structural components, aiming at the productization of aerospace equipment.

I was assigned as the R&D mechanical engineer in charge of AIT (assembly, integration and testing) processes. Apart from my responsibilities related to project management and manufacturing facility support, some of my tasks included the design of lifting equipment, setups for the measurement of mass properties, alignment equipment for propulsion systems, and the design of high-precision optomechanical gadgets.

My later responsibilities were related to the development of projects as a whole. This is, from the conceptual engineering and FEED, going through supplier’s development and prototype checks, up to validation and transference processes for our manufacturing plant. Some projects I was involved in: new solar panels, vapour chambers, CoG measurement setups, etc.

    IAP Ingenium – Mechanical Designer.

    Feb 2017- Sep 2017.

Development of Concept Engineering and Detail Engineering of mechanical assemblies and specialized machinery; pneumatic systems, automatisms, structures, drivers, etc.

I carried out the design, calculus and mechanical drawings of the components, as well as power and control wiring, and the manufacturing of some of the machine parts in-house whenever the project on course required it.

In addition to design, my tasks included contact, support and development of suppliers.

University of Buenos Aires – Assistant Professor in Mechanical Projects Workshop.

    Mar 2012 – Jul 2018.

Assistant professor in mechanical projects Workshop, for the department of Mechanical Technology.

The aim of the subject, which includes theory and practice, is to show student the methods, instruments and machine tools used in the process of making mechanical parts by chip removal techniques.

My tasks inside the work group were very diverse, and included almost all the characteristic of the subject: teaching lessons to students, showing the use of lathes, mills and drills, writing and revision of assignments, writing and checking of exams, machining of mechanical assemblies for educational purposes, among others.

Laboratory of Drives Control, Traction and Power – Professional R&D assignment.

    Jan 2016- Jul 2016.

In this professional practice, which was part of the turbo pump project for CONAE, a test bench was engineered. In contrast with traditional test benches, the turbo pumps to be tested belong to a rocket propulsion systems, and because of this some of the instrumentation, piping, pressure-flow rate to be measured, as well as other parameters, required additional research. In this project, the test bench was designed from scratch, from the welded structure to the selection of the instruments. The manufacturing of the test bench structure was carried out by myself.

    EDASIM – Application Engineer.

    Sep 2015- Sep 2016.

Technical support for electromechanical design software, tools for the design of electronic circuitry, quick prototyping PCB printers, and high-immersion level simulators, used for civilian and military use.

Edasim was the only contact in Argentina for the following brands: LPKF, Vortex CM Labs Simulation, Automation Studio, Presagis, ZODIAC Data Systems, KEIL, OrCAD, Proteus, among others.

Biomeca – Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer.

    Jan 2015 – Dec 2015.

Tasks related to electric and instrumentation engineering for distributed control systems, drawings of hardware and connections, basic and detail engineering documentation, BOM, etc.

Emerson – Intern - Process Systems & Solutions.

     Jun 2013 – Dec 2014.

My work here was mostly related to the development of basic and detailed engineering of hardware for distributed control systems, manufacturing drawings, and making of BOM

Alfa Laval – Intern for Process Parts & Services.

    Jun 2012 – Jan 2013.

Here I work as Client Support regarding technical inquiries on plate heat exchangers and centrifugal decanters.

Also, assisted in the preparation of quotes and the development of new business opportunities.

    Private Tutor.

    Feb 2011 – Jul 2012.

During this period I worked as private tutor at physics and maths, at university level.

    Complementary information:

I consider myself a proactive, organized, independent, result-oriented person, with a mind-set towards continuous improvement, looking for constant personal and professional growth, both for me and the people I work with.
