I worked for ERFNet, an European Space Agency feasibility project about radiation protection in space. The basic idea was to make simulations in radiations more comfortable for non-expert users, with an optimization algorithm to find the best shielding to protect inside a spacecraft (e.g. crew).
− Development of the three-dimensional optimization system throughout a metropolis algorithm, using Matlab and Fortran programming languages in Linux and MacOS
− Simulations with Gate (Geant4 derivate)
− Data analysis (Matlab)
− Study and application of GDML (Geometry Description Markup Language)
− Ray tracing algorithm in Matlab
− Final testing with compiled Matlab scripts in Windows OS
The development of a better simulation that optimize dose using an improved ray-tracing algorithm based on Gate tool data is in progress.
Research Collaboration 2018
I continued my thesis work on polarization induction by a deformable mirror for the European Solar Telescope, collaborating with adaptive optics team at National Institute of Astrophysics, INAF.

Scientific Communication 2013-2018
Cutural association ’Estrellas y planetas’, Guido Reni Mostre
I have worked as scientific communicator for the cultural association ’Estrellas y Planetas’ in the National Astrophyics Institute (INAF in italian acronym) structures and for Guido Reni Mostre in 2017. Here I explained to school age students and adults the basics of astronomy, astrophysics, optics and astronautical history.
− Learned how to explain complex topics to non-expert people, both adults and children, adapting my languages
− Learned how to manage sudden events, and make rapid decisions
− Observations with a telescope, finding and following objects in the sky, nighttime and daytime (Sun)
Master’s degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics 2011-2017

I’ve completed my master’s degree discussing my thesis entitled ’Characterization of a MEMS deformable mirror’. In the years of study I learned about astronomy and astrophysics, such as plasma physics, stellar astrophysics, classical gravitational mechanics, and more.
− Annual laboratory on an optical coronograph, a light source obscurer device to make visible dark objects around
− Simulation development of an orbiting star around an elliptical galaxy with a non constant matter distribution (written in Fortran)
− Simulation of n-body gravitational system
− Computation of interior star’s parameters (Mass, luminosity, temperature, etc.)

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS
I follow space programs development, not only for professional issues, but I think that is the future of human kind. I love thinking about human in space, and future development.
I’m also a science fiction lover. For all of these reasons I have begun studying Astrophysics.
I have interests in geopolitics, and often read specialized magazine, and follow some Internet pages. To understand deeply european situation, I have begun to read about economics and its principles.
Another field of interests for is history of life, and deep time. I read books about this matter, and I follow Internet pages debate this argument.
I practiced martial art, ninjutsu, kung-fu Sanda and much free practice, to improve my self-awareness, to learn the capability to self-improvement, so needed in life, both professional and private context.
