    Aerospace Engineer

I am a highly motivated aerospace engineer actively seeking a career in the space industry.  I am currently working as a researcher on the field of dynamic pressure measurements, consisting mostly on numerical simulations in combination with experimental work. I consider myself a team player, perseverant and curious; values that I have gained in various professional and extra-professional experiences.

    july 2020 – now

    Researcher, university of ljubljana, Slovenia

Working in the field of dynamic pressure calibrations with a special focus on the shock tube as a primary standard.

Numerical simulations using OpenFOAM to understand the shock wave formation and evolution along the tube. Analysis of the effects that valve geometry and movement may have on the shock tube flow.

Operation of the shock tube. Experimental determination of the effective diameter of the pressure sensors by calculation of the shock wave velocity.

Improvement of the shock tube to extend the working pressure amplitudes and reduce the uncertainty in amplitude and phase.

    march 2018 – january 2019

short traning program, von karman institute for fluid dynamics, belgium

Research internship within the Turbomachinery department for the elaboration of the Master’s Thesis titled “Numerical analysis of the heat transfer in pulse detonation engines” awarded 9.5/10.
