I am a self-motivated electrical engineer that thrives in dynamic environments with diverse teams. I have worked in numerous countries including South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Ghana, Dubai, and the United States of America. Working with international and multicultural teams allowed me to further develop my interpersonal skills. I believe my strongest qualities are my approachability and my ability to understand and engage with people from all walks of life.

I have great written and verbal communication skills and can convey complex ideas in concise and easy to understand methods. I conduct my daily responsibilities with integrity and honesty, and I aim to continually learn and grow. I approach complex engineering tasks with fervor and love finding creative solutions to intricate problems. I believe all solutions have their own unique trade-offs and it is the engineer’s role to determine the most suitable balance between these trade-offs.

Since 2013 I have been working full-time performing electromagnetic interference (EMI) studies (and associated AC mitigation designs) involving pipelines and overhead power lines, buried power cables and electrified railways. I have worked on projects in numerous countries for various clients, including Rand Water (the largest water utility in Africa), Eskom (Africa’s largest electricity provider), Transnet Pipelines (South Africa’s principal fuel pipeline operator), various other state-owned enterprises and private companies

I have always been fascinated by outer space and its exploration and as such I completed a Masters in Space Sciences part-time. During this time, I published numerous papers and articles, co-authored two books under appointment by the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) and presented at the 71st International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in 2020. My passions specifically relate to propulsion systems as well as the application of space-based technologies to overcome specific terrestrial issues.
