Thesis topic : “Development of a software, using C# language,based on an enhanced application of the Finite Element Method, which allows estimating the deformations affecting the large structure of a solar sail up to the second order of accuracy, and to real-time update the resulting thrust vector, according to such deformations,and the consequent evolution of  the spacecraft trajectory. This tool offers also the completely new opportunity of analyzing both structural and dynamical behaviours and performance of a solar sail even in the event of a partial deployment.
